Time to start looking at what others are doing

I have been wondering what we have been doing wrong for a while now. We have this great working protocol, an established community, functioning dapps, offer solutions to real world problems, yet we are struggling.

We have this disdain for the wider crypto market for valid reasons. I share that disdain as well. Most of crypto is a lie, bullshit, gambling, nonsense legacy corporate mentality masquerading as WEB3.
But at the same time we see visible growth with many of those frauds.

Why?

We can point towards the psychology of masses, to gambling and greed, to pure hype, industry connections and backroom deals and we wouldnt be wrong. All that being said, all that being understood the fact would still remain that they experience growth and we seemingly do not.

We have had a number of projects on Hive trying to think outside the box but the follow through has been lacking. And the follow through is something those frauds can teach us.

We should not be rejecting everything they do because of who they are. We should embrace what they do that works and reject what is morally black.

We will by default be better but our approach should be the same. So observe what is being done and how and try to adopt these "techniques" if you are a dapp owner, a project leader, a community leader.
To put it more simply:

Do what they do but dont be an asshole about it.

We have been living with this isolationist mentality for years thinking something will happen because it is somehow destined to happen.
The only way something does happen is if we do something about it and that something should be preferably what has been shown to work elsewhere in our industry.

Reject rejection.
