Find the Hive Dollar hidden in this article

If you are new to Hive - Welcome,

Censorship Resistance

You probably accessed the Bee Hive through one of the many frontends. Frontends are websites, they can be censored, but the backend - the Hive blockchain is censorship-resistant. Even if your blog, podcast, your videos, music, or art gets censored on one website, it can still be accessed via other websites or read directly from the blockchain.

Every piece of text or article or even every comment you write is an NFT, a unique token and it is yours.

I'm not a Bitcoin-, Ethereum- or Hive-maximalist, I say it as I see it: they all have flaws. The thing that keeps me on Hive is that it is easy to fork. The chain is where the community goes. In fact, Hive is a quite old project, it was formerly known as Steem. After it got attacked (or "bought") the community showed that we users are no property. We took our content and moved on. Hive has to develop, its mechanisms have to be refined, it is not a static thing, it is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). You can work here, you can get funded, you can program apps, games, or build communities, or like me - simply be a user.

Freedom needs you!

With this post, I want to showcase a possible low-budget way to promote freedom enabling technologies like Hive. In this article, I will hide a price: my Hive-Dollar balance, all incoming tips and any outstanding payout including this article. In times of price increases, it will maybe be a nice dinner for the weekend (like a pizza 🍕in front of your PC). Write the solution as a memo. The first person solving it gets the price. You will only need the first letters, if you come to the end you will notice it.

The life as a Hive blogger - the Puzzle

After I wrote several chapters on Hive my eyes needed rest. Not only our eyes, it is our brains that normally produce melatonin - melatonin is a regenerative neuro-hormone. Melatonin production is blocked by blue light hitting your retina. So your retina is an extended part of your brain sensing the lighting conditions in your environment in order to synchronize you with the natural rhythm of day and night.

With us constantly looking on-screen and artificial light we limit our melatonin production. BTW red wine also contains melatonin, ever got relaxed, tired after drinking red wine? There you go. Take a glass, but don't put it on your TV or smartphone, maybe it will help you find the solution. If you don´t drink alcohol, pomegranate juice also contains nice polyphenols.

These days there are also technical solutions. Screen filter apps (like f.lux) reduce the blue light emitted from your screen. I personally tilt the screen a little bit away from me, this also helps.

Light is essential though

Found a solution? If so it is only the first part. Sitting in complete darkness is also no solution because maybe there is an animal or beast hidden under your bed, a big animal but which one is it?

Found it? Take the first letter of each word, the very first letter is hidden in the first picture. Now you have it.

Have a nice weekend!
