What is EDSvote?
Eds-vote is an account that people can delegate HIVE POWER to. In return for their delegation, they will receive EDS tokens each Monday.
The delegated HP will be used to curate content on HIVE and provide small upvotes for those that hold over 100 EDS tokens. Delegating HIVE POWER to @eds-vote will not result in an upvote. This is not a delegation to upvote service. It is a way to distribute the remaining reallocated EDS into circulation.
What are EDS tokens?
EDS tokens are HIVE income tokens that are pegged and backed to 1 HIVE each. They pay out weekly dividends every Monday based on 12% of the total powered-up HIVE balance of the @eddie-earner account. This is currently paying out an APY to token holders of roughly 35%.

Let's have a look at the numbers in chart form as this is the best way to see performance and predict the future.
We have 314,654 HP being delegated this week and by the looks of the chart, we have hit our market saturation point at between 310-320k HP. I could still see this growing but much slower and this is way more than I would have predicated a year ago. Big shout out to everyone who delegates HP to @eds-vote!
This weeks curation APY is 8.8% which is very good for 2 reasons. First is our HP balance has been stable meaning no big decreases and second, the account voting power has increased by 2-3% each week the past few weeks meaning we are not overusing our voting power. The target is 8% but if we're averaging closer to 9%, we'll take that too (and mint moar EDS)
That 8.8% translated in 530.49 HP which still blows my mind. Hard to believe we're earning over 500 a week from curating when only 3 months ago, earning 210 HP was the norm. Anyways, this means when the time comes to start a new powerdown, we can easily to one for 500 HIVE a week knowing we're earning a tiny bit more each week.
Not as good as last week but eds-vote minted 265.25 EDS this week. These 265 EDS make up around 40-45% of the total EDS minted this week and each week I guess.
Round-Up
I had a look at the numbers last week and we are 3-4 weeks away from starting a new powerdown from @eds-vote to powerup over at @eddie-earner. This will be a 200 HIVE increase on our current powerdown and should make a big difference to EDS APY's decline.
Im still more than happy with how eds-vote is running and i'd love to see it continue to grow.
