Back (in German: Er ist wieder da), a gem worth seeing

I love German cinema and theater. Starting here I must say that German comedy is not for everyone, I know. However, perhaps this film located rather in satire, is a gem of German cinema. The critics did not like it, but perhaps the critics are too politically correct. I think that being able to bring the story to our days and look at it from our perspective is a good setting for satire. So whatever the critics say, the performances are incredible, the psychology in every detail. What bothered the critics? That the main character in the story is Hitler.
It is a 2015 film, directed by David Wnendt and based on the best-selling satirical type namesake, by author Timur Vermes. The story takes place in 2014 where an unexpected and inexplicable event happens: Out of nowhere Adolf Hitler wakes up in Berlin lying on the lawn of a garden as if he had traveled in time but without being aware of it. With his last thoughts in 1945 he now finds himself in a modern Germany full of tourists from different places, no Nazi symbols, no planes soaring through the sky. He clearly does not understand anything of what is happening. "Did we lose the war?" he wonders. Where is my bunker?
CONSTANTIN FILM VERLEIH
It is a film and also a documentary, it plays with this ambiguity. This documentary look is fascinating. Passersby, ordinary people who walking through a square come across this man in uniform who is a stigma in their history. A thrust dagger that may never be excised. I wish you a prosperous holiday season and best wishes.
