Well, I continue to be stoked and grateful to the Hive-Engine community. The witness system is off to a great start. So far we 19 witnesses and we've minted 1500+ blocks on the side chain in a true p2p fashion!

Congrats to AJ Brockman for taking the top witness spot. He's been a strong proponent of Hive-Engine activities and it's great to see you there. Eternerx is also in the top and has been a long time supporter and fan of the PAL community and is working on a Hive-Engine NFT project of his own. Exciting stuff.

I'm pleased to see some of the Hive-Engine developers on the list. Grats to Eon, Reaz, cryptomancer and donchate.

Given the number of witnesses joining we're planning on making a few more top slots available so the distribution of BEE will be slightly broader.

Future of BEE

In the not too distant future (stretch goal of March, goal of April, and lagging by May+) I hope to have uniswap style pools available on Hive-engine. When we do this there will be a 1000 BEE fee to create the pool, but after that we're planning to making transactions in the pool free.

But aggy, where does the incentive to provide liquidity for the pool come from then?

Each different token/community will need to incentivize their own pools. So, if we want a BEE/BTC pool then we're going to have to provide BEE as an incentive into that pool. We're working on tools to allow every token to do this. Hopefully we'll see a lot more assets parked on the exchange because your SWAP.BTC and other SWAP.CRYPTOs could be used in a bunch of different pools earning a variety of tokens.

To figure determine which pools the BEE will go into you'll have to stake BEE to have a say. This is also inspired by the way the UNISWAP token works. So, if you want to direct BEE inflation in pools you'll want to start staking some especially while it's at a discount on the exchange.
