Homeschooling: Engaging Creative Mind in Craft Making

Hello everyone,
Pleasure to be here ans to share with you how i and my baby sister went on a creative journey.

Yesterday I thought it would be fun to use what I had lying around the house and create a homemade one for my baby sister. There is a picture of a butterfly that looks suitable for making, and so I chose that picture, and began drawing on a carton paper.

The very first thing we did was to collect some colorful construction paper, glue and black pen for making the butterfly come alive. Next, I had to draw the butterfly and very patiently I cut out the butterfly and covered it with cardboard paper.

Then I went further in drawing the different segments of the butterfly shape and colored it black and bold. To make it more beautiful I had to do something creative by adding flowers around it and touching the stone bead.

My baby sister was very pleased when I showed her the completed butterfly craft work. We both laughed and the girl reached forward placing her hand in it . Just to see her so joyful with something I have created for her was amazing and really close to my heart.

They say that the basics are the best and this is probably true because whenever one feels down, you know what always makes the smile bright again, very little things in life. What I had to do paid off as I was happy to take time and make something for my baby sister, which remains precious to me to date. Creating something with your loved ones is always a fun moment and as much as I would love to see my sister’s smile every single time she looks at the butterfly she crafted all by herself.
