Today I share with you a novel strategy to tell stories without stories and I think it's great not only to tell the story but to create the characters with my little daughter.
This week the drama teacher proposed to the group of students to create some halloween characters to project at home and enjoy an afternoon of shadow theater.

Hoy comparto con ustedes una estrategia novedosa para contar historias sin cuentos y me parece genial no solo el contar la historia sino al crear los personajes junto a mi pequeña hija.
Está semana la maestra de teatro propuso al grupo de estudiantes crear unos personajes de halloween para proyectar en casa y disfrutar de una tarde de teatro de sombras.
So as for every activity we got to work to create our own halloween shadow theater to create those not so scary stories with my little one at home.
Así que como para cada actividad nos pusimos manos a la obra para crear nuestro propio teatro de sombras de halloween y asi crear esas historias no tan terroríficas junto a mi pequeña en casa.
Although as I told you in one of my publications I am not very much in favor of celebrating this holiday but I think there are ways like these to enjoy without scares, tricks but rather enjoying characters where witches, monsters, pumpkins and ghosts do not scare us.
Aunque como ya les comenté en uno de mis publicaciones no soy muy partidaria de celebrar esta festividad pero creo que hay formas como estas de disfrutar sin sustos, trucos sino más bien disfrutando de personajes dónde las brujas, mostruos, calabazas y fantasmas no nos den miedo.
Experimenting with figures, shadows and light is undoubtedly a great idea where we work with pedagogy in an active way telling creative stories directly from the imagination of our little ones.
It is not the first time that we perform at home a play using the shadow theater but this time we made our characters to enjoy a halloween afternoon at home.
Experimentar con las figuras, sombras y luz sin duda es una idea genial dónde trabajos la pedagógia de forma activa contando cuentos creativos directamente desde la imaginación de nuestros pequeños.
No es la primera vez que realizamos en casa una obra utilizando el teatro de sombras pero está vez realizamos nuestros personajes para disfrutar una tarde de halloween en casa.
The shadow theater is an innovative resource that we can implement at home by projecting figures to play with shadows and learn in a fun way.
This resource is one of my favorites and combines art, language, imagination and the magic of science as it allows us to explore through light, darkness, shapes, sizes and colors when telling a story.
El teatro de sombras es un recurso innovador que podemos implementar en casa proyectando las figuras para jugar con las sombras y poder aprender de una manera divertida.
Este recurso es uno de mis favoritos combina lo artístico, el lenguaje,la imaginación junto a lo mágico de la ciencia ya que nos permite explorar a través de la luz, la oscuridad, las formas, tamaños y colores al contar una historia.
In fact, I find it an effective strategy to work on the fear of the dark that children like my daughter often feel and the best part is that this pedagogical resource is very easy to create with a few materials that we always have at home such as pieces of cardboard, colored transparent paper, glue, scissors, pencil and wooden stick.
De hecho me parece una estrategia eficaz para trabajar el miedo a la oscuridad que niños como mi hija suelen sentir y lo mejor de todo es que este recurso pedagógico es muy fácil de crear con pocos materiales que siempre tenemos en casa como trozos de cartulina, papel transparente de colores, pegamento, tijera, lápiz y palillo de madera.
This material is just to create the puppets and scenery that will bring our story to life, we just need to spend a nice afternoon drawing, cutting and gluing.
Este material es solo para crear los títeres y escenario que darán vida a nuestra historia solo necesitamos pasar una agradable tarde dibujando, recortando y pegando.
And once our puppets were ready we started the show in fact the popcorn was already ready to enjoy as our spotlight was projected and reflected on the white wall.
Y una vez listos nuestros títeres comenzamos la función de hecho las palomitas ya estaban listas para disfrutar al proyectar nuestro foco y reflejar en la pared blanca.
In this opportunity I used the light bulb of the phone and the show started and in fact from the beginning we started to enjoy especially my daughter Aura who used her fine motor skills to draw, cut and glue creating her own puppets.
And not only that, her creativity and imagination were having fun telling a story on the wall with shadows and lights where spiders, bats, monsters, ghosts, witches and pumpkins were present.
En esta oportunidad utilice el foco de luz del teléfono y comenzó la función de hecho desde el inicio comenzamos a disfrutar sobre todo mi hija Aura quien ejército su motricidad fina al dibujar, recortar y pegar creando sus propios títeres.
Y no solo esto su creatividad e imaginación se estuvieron divirtiendo al contar una historia en la pared con sombras y luces dónde estuvieron presente arañas, murciélagos, monstruos, fantasmas, brujitas y calabazas.
As a mom I love this idea, we have enjoyed it to the fullest and it allows me to offer my daughter a new learning alternative with few materials from our home, creating educational environments through shadows.
A mí cómo mamá me encanta esta idea la hemos disfrutado al máximo y me permite ofrecer a mi hija una nueva alternativa de aprendizaje con pocos materiales desde nuestro hogar, creando ambientes educativos a través de las sombras.
This technique of shadow theater is very old in the arts of puppetry and shadow theater and always invites us to tell stories and entertainment on an evening like this just by turning off the light in the room and turning on the flashlight to enjoy as today a story that is sure to catch every viewer to begin to project each puppet.
Está técnica del teatro de sombras es muy antigua en las artes del teatro de títeres y sombras y siempre nos invitan a contar historias y entretenimiento en una tarde como está solo apagando la luz de la habitación y encendiendo la linterna para disfrutar como hoy de una historia que de seguro atrapará a cada espectador al comenzar a proyectar a cada títere.
Aura not only created her puppets but also played a leading role in this Halloween story by being included in it.
Aura no solo creo sus títeres sino que también fue protagonista en esta historia de halloween al incluirse en ella.
