Maybe birthday cakes aren’t for me!
Hold on a sec!
Before you conclude that I don’t eat cake, that’s not what I mean.
For more than two decades of my life, I don’t think I have gotten a birthday cake as a gift. Maybe I’ll get one next month, maybe not; I don’t get my hopes high so that I don’t get disappointed. Anyways, one thing is certain, I will have enough sleep on that day!
Unlike the uncelebrated me, my elder sister always tops the league in birthday celebrations. While the uncelebrated me gets enough rest on my day, she, on the other hand, gets a full truck load of gifts on her day (15 days after mine).
On her birthday celebration in 2020 P.C.E (Post Covid Era) she got 4 cakes amongst other gift items; I, on the other hand, got 12 hours of sleep on mine 😅
To be honest and sincere, till today, the taste of one of the cakes she received hasn’t erased from my memory, and I don’t think it will. Each time I go back to this image I took with my old Samsung Galaxy J7 prime, I always remember the feeling I got when I took my first bite of this amazing work of art (for my stomach).
This cake, for now, was and is my favorite dessert.
I am not an expert at analyzing the combination of flavours and colours, I hope the cake expert will do me the honours of this analysis, so that I can try it out some other time.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WITH HIVE?
On June 26 2022, Hivebuzz informed me that I was 2 years on the Hive Blockchain, so this would mean that I am 2 years 1 month and about 10 days on Hive Blockchain.
HAVE YOU EVER WRITTEN FICTION BEFORE?
Yes, I have; and "sometimes" my life is a fiction.
ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH SCHOLAR AND SCRIBE?
Yes, I am. I remember the psyberx challenge that was hosted some months back. Well, I didn’t participate in the challenge due to procrastination. Here I am again, but this won’t pass me by.
WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS
Are you expecting this to be a fun challenge, challenging challenge, exciting challenge or you are dreading writing publicly?
I expect it to be all:
- I expect the challenge to be fun and exciting because the fictional world is a journey where you build your imaginative, creative, "excitive" and "funive" (Oh, sorry I just made those words up) skills.
- It will be challenging for me because it is already a Challenge, so what do you expect?
- Well, this is a public space and I am writing, but somewhat without any atom of dread.
