Lucy, an independent young woman who has worked hard enough to acquire her own house, got to see a house she desires in the countryside with a beautiful garden. Though her parents were against it because it may block her chances of meeting potential suitors. Still, that didn't stop her from acquiring the house.
"You can sign here and here" the real estate agent said while showing Lucy where her signature should be on the house purchase form.
After signing the form, Lucy was so excited that she quickly collected the keys to her new house from the real estate agent and left immediately to celebrate with her best friend Maggie. On her way over to Maggie's place, she got pizza and chill beer so they could celebrate. Afterward, Lucy went back home and began to pack her things because she couldn't wait any longer to start living in her new house.
A few days later, Maggie assisted her best friend to pack her things into the new house and after a few more days of unpacking boxes, Lucy finally finished packing and now she could breathe without having to worry about her things not being unpacked. A couple of month later, Lucy had adjusted to her new house and everything was going well. Looking around her to see all that she had accomplished in the past couple of months, she smiled thinking of how her life style had changed and then she heard her doorbell ring. Quickly she went to check who it was but saw no one except a box, tied with a red ribbon and a white rose attached to it on the floor.
So she looked around, but saw no one and then she took the box inside. Afterward, she took the white rose and held it close to her nose as she basked in its scent. She then dropped the flower and looked at the box intensely after which she went ahead to open it. Opening it she saw a bunch of letters addressed to a Jane Brown who had lived in her newly bought house previously. The letters were dated five months ago. Curious about the content of the letters, she picked a random letter, opened it, and began to read it.
After she read the first letter, she was curious about what the rest of the letters said. So she went and arranged them according to their dates. Reading every word, understanding every message the writer was trying to pass through, experiencing the emotions of the writer, and reading between the lines, Lucy discovers that the writer, James was in love with Jane. As she continued reading the letters, Lucy began to form a strong bond of attachment to James.
It was nightfall, Lucy was worn out from reading, so she decided to go to bed and take a nap. Lucy kept tossing and turning as she couldn't sleep because she was thinking about James and curious about him. The feeling was so strong that she couldn't close her eyes in an attempt to sleep. Feeling frustrated, she got up and got dressed and went in search of James with the address on one of the letters which is an hour's drive from her house.
Getting to James' house, Lucy became nervous and scared at the same time, but the strong feelings and curiosity she had towards James had to be settled or she wouldn't have peace. So she went ahead to knock on the door. A few moments later, the door revealed a six and two feet tall man.
"Who are you? " the man asked.
"Sorry to bother you, I am here to see James." Lucy replied.
"Who is asking?" the man asked
"Sorry, I am Lucy Peters, I just bought the house that Jane Brown owned previously and I received quite a bunch of letters from you this evening." Lucy said.
"Oh my God! I am sorry. I never knew the house had already been sold. Please come in, I am James Whitmore nice to meet you"
Lucy then stepped in. As she walked in, she was greeted with lots of beautiful paintings and many artistry works. Admiring all the works on the wall, she asked, "Are you an artist?"
"Yes I am. Please make yourself comfy, I will be right back."....
