[Rebellion in the pen]

The intense heat of the sun raged on
As the working hours of the day lasted
Merciful nature drew nearer the closing time
Walking gently into the house
It should've been a night of rest
I looked up the sky and saw nature's beauty
The stars twinkled and the moon shone
A look at a large pen down the earth below
Series of happenings worthy of worry;
It was sorrowful-
Exposing the earth.

The even may sound amusing
Where a group of domestic animals
Turned wild, some on rampage
A good number wondered; others moped
The goats were in deep-rooted battle

I wondered why;
Slugging it out for leaves to chew?
But leaves were abundant in the pen
Yet none of the animals was in tether

Even the pen was ajar
As rams locked horns and bleated
The pigs grunted and mooed
Some birds chattered; many were on wings.
Imagine the fight of the bulls;
With their large revolving eyeballs
Poised to swallow smaller fellows
Turkey and ducks at loggerheads
Horses galloped uncontrolled
And the rearer, a famous driver
Although thoughtful, mopped dejected
Wondering why
The wildness in the world of animals
Well kept; with abundant food.
