Two sides of a coin

If you are blind, how are you able to see? Dolly questioned her older Cousin Elly who seem to be doing just fine navigating her way round.
If not that her eyes doesn't blink or respond to stimuli you'd think she's acting and she really can see.

It's called physical impairment, Elly replied with a chuckle.

but really how are you able to see. Dolly pressed further as she wasn't convinced her older cousin she had come to know all this years is really blind yet does not struggle with sight

Well with my third eye silly. Elly responded.

You have a third eye? Dolly questioned again this time in disbelief and a slight tone of mockery in her voice.

Yep we all have one, its just more active in us blind people. We might be physically blind but our third eye energy centre is very receptive. That's why when I feel something, taste something, smell something or hear something the nerve endings in these other senses triggers the brain which in turn communicates with the third eye the true picture of the object. It's a whole lot of energy wave going on there. Elly explained further.

Sounding a little convinced, Dolly responded Wow! this is all just so much to take in, Your explanation seems logical but at the same time it doesn't make sense. I don't believe you. Its all bullock.

Well ok if you say so its ok. Elly replied with a calm voice.

That's it? you not going to argue? or try to convince me? Dolly fired back with a little aggressive and frustrated tone.

Nope. it's not in my place to do that. Elly said in an annoying matter and facial expression.

Elly and Dolly might be 5 years apart in terms of age but they relate well like age mates. While Dolly can be a bit Fiesty and provocative, Elly is more calm and mature always walking away from arguments and petty fights. Probably because she's way older or maybe her condition made her that way but growing up she has always avoided trouble and played safe. The girls had lived with their grandma for the better years of their life as their mothers gave them up not wanting to be tied down with the troubles of motherhood. Their grandma has being the only Parent they knew and they pray everyday for her health as they cannot imagine life without her.

Grandma, Elly said she has a third eye. Dolly went reporting to their grandmother as she wasn't having not arguing about Elly words. If Elly won't argue with me perhaps I can have a little engagement with grandma she thought.

Dolly had felt probably Elly's sight is not all that bad, maybe her vision is blurry, maybe she sees a bit. To Dolly there must be a logical explanation how Elly is blind and still able to move about with no aid.

Grandma do you really believe Elly is blind and can't see anything at all aside darkness? Dolly questioned.

Why do you ask that? the grandma questioned back.

I don't know maybe I have been curious to find out but since I can't get any logical explanation on my own I decided to speak out.

You should continue in silence my dear because sometime silence is peace. Grandma responded as she continued pounding her spice of which to brew herbs with. To avoid further interrogation from Dolly, she pounded a little louder and pretended to be focused on the spice she pounding.

The message was clear grandma wasn't having any of her nuisance that day.

At night Dolly couldn't sleep she was disturbed, why would Elly say she has a third eye? why won't grandma want to talk about it? They must be hiding something from me and must find out Dolly thought.

She snuck out of her for the first time in her life at night as she thought if Elly and her grandma were both hiding something from her, night would be the best time to find out as night is when all the attrocities happens. She tiptoed to Elly's room and found her fast asleep. Nothing suspicious here she thought. Then she tiptoed to her grandma's room and found her sitting on her rocking chair half asleep and struggling to drive away the mosquitoes that was singing in her ears why the rest feast on the exposed part of her body as she was tying just wrapper on her chest. Nothing to see here too, it's just grandma doing what grandma does Dolly hought. She decided to tiptoe back to her room but on a second thought what if its not yet time for their attrocities? Id wait up a bit she thought then she hid in a corner.

The moon was bright and full, the atmosphere was a bit chilly and moist not that it rained but it felt like it the cricket chirped and the frogs croaked. Dolly checked on the time and saw it was a little past 2 am. How long do I have to wait up to catch these People? what if they knew I am on to them and decided to act normal? what if I'm wasting my time and Elly was just being mischievous? So many what ifs and she just decided to get a shut eye as there's nothing to see. But as she headed to her room, she found her door locked. What's going on she thought who locked me out? no one else has access to my room except me and it can only be bolted from behind.

Is it Elly? but i was there all through this while, no shut eye and nobody came.out not even grandma. She summoned up courage and decided to go through the back to know who could be in her room. she peeped from the small space of her closed window and found someone lying on her bed.

By this time Dolly was already becoming scared as she could hear her heart pounding very fast, she hasn't seen anything like that before and wondered who could be so bold as to go sleep in her room. She decided to alert her cousin Elly and her grandma that there is an intruder in the house. She rushed to Elly room and shook her vigorously.

Elly, Elly wake up Elly! something is happening there is an intruder in my room.

Go away Dolly let me sleep Elly said amidst sleep.

Sleep? when there's a stranger in my room? You know grandma is old and there's nothing much she can do, you are all that I have please get up. Dolly continued shaking Elly vigorously till she felt Elly's hand come off, she screamed and by this time Elly was no longer responsive, she rushed to her grandma's room and found her lying stiff also not responsive.

What is going on Dolly screamed, could it be the stranger is doing this? but how? what do I do now? Dolly questioned as she stood at the front of her room helpless.

She had thought to alert someone but they live alone in the woods and for the thirteen years she has lived there she had only seen other humans on very rare occasions.

The thought of what to do grew stronger that Dolly decided to keep calm and meditate. Suddenly she heard Elly whispers take my hand, her eyes were still shut but then she could see Elly stand before her, is this the third eye Elly speak of? Dolly questioned.

It will do you a whole lot of good to not fight this so you can get the full effect of this experience.

Dolly could not see Elly was she heard her and felt her presence which sent chills down her spine as it wasn't an experience she's use to.

How do I take your hand when I can't see you? Dolly questioned

Trust your gut! Elly said authoritatively.

Dolly knew in other to get to the bottom of what's going on, she needs to let go of reasoning. She focused on her breath breathing in and out, she felt a force pull her into her room with the stranger still lying on her bed and as she progressed to her bed side, she felt some sort of magnetic pull towards the stranger and in split seconds, there she was standing face to face with her alter ego. I have been the one lying here but how? It doesn't make sense how is this even possible?

Because you made it possible, their grandma responded as she held on to her shoulders.

I don't understand any of this, is this even real? confused Dolly cried out.

It is real, Dolly responded to herself as the other her lying down got up from the bed. You have the ability to create worlds, Dolly responded to herself and this is why your mother abandoned you with your grandma she couldn't manage your gifts, Dolly continued.

You mean I have gifts and it's not even one? confused Dolly asked in disbelief.

You are an Enchanteress, your gifts are limitless but first you need to master time as you've trapped Elly and your grandma in another multiverse. Dolly said to herself.

I should have just let Elly be with her third eye story, I did not bargain for any of this. Dolly thought as she moved into the light with her reflection.
