Can I delete a post?
Yes ... mostly.
SIMPLE ANSWER
The best solution is to select Edit while logged in and to replace all the text of the post with either a blank space or better yet the word "Deleted".
TECHNICAL ANSWER
There is no blockchain function called delete... however the blockchain allows you to supplant one entry with another. That's why changing the post to be blank is the best solution.
This means the data you originally submitted is always there... however all interfaces to the blockchain like PeakD.com use a system (API) to present information to users... we use whatever is your latest desire. So in a way YES you can delete content from what interfaces show.
It is difficult but you should know Someone could go back to the original transaction (if they were technically inclined and wanted to spend the time) and find the original text.
Can I delete a picture?
The best way to delete a picture is to simply remove the URL from your post.
Can PeakD or someone else delete a post or comment for me?
NO. PeakD does not store your data it goes onto a blockchain what peakd offers are tools to help you add your information to the blockchain and to edit that information later. You are the only one in the world that can make those additions or changes... we have ZERO power to edit the blockchain where your posts/data is stored. No on in the world can edit your information on the blockchain but yourself. This is the design of blockchain and why your login keys are so important. So if you loose those you loose the ability to change anything.

- If no one has commented or voted PeakD will offer an actual DELETE button.
- You can also edit the post and edit or completely erase all text if you want and from then on PeakD.com and other interfaces will show it in accordance to your new desires.
- PeakD just gives you tools together with your login-keys to make changes we have zero access to change anything about your posts or account.
Note that "DELETE" is only available if there are no comments or votes.
