Introduction
Good day to everyone, hope everyone is doing alrite as we head into the wekends. It's time again to do a progress check on my city and see how much it had grown.
What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.
My City
The below screenshot is how my city looks like at this moment:
In previous update, I was dabbling with the thought of getting the wind turbine but suddenly the city did hear my cry and gave me another new student that transited from being a young citizen. And that made my unemployment climbed to 3. And because of that, I got for myself a new Ice Cream Shop. And with this purchase, I was able to push my income to break the 40 SIM barrier per day which I am really thankful.
I am also keeping watch like an eager parent to see what kind of profession these students will become once we need to pay their debt.
Grow Grow Grow
While we wait daily for SIM to come in, the process will be slower than doing some trading or gathering more SIM into your account.
For me, I do have some layer 2 tokens that are still worth some value that I can work on selling them to get more SIM. City is still relatively small at the moment and needs to start growing. Honestly, I haven't build up the city like how a city supposed to be with various infrastructures and services.
And hence the next part of growth, I would need to ensure some of the stuff that needs to be in the city be in the city so that overall, things will be more robust.
Crime Rate reduction:
Police Station, Cinema, Gym, Court
- Low crime will reduces the chances of impact onto daily income.
Social Support Reduction:
Social Aid Office
- Social Aid is painful, with such a card, it will really help reduce the impact of income requirement for social aid.
Tax Reduction:
Law Firm
- Having this will give some "tax relief" and boosting your income.
Fire Impact Reduction:
Fire Department
- Self explanatory, reduces income loss due to fire by 20 SIM
That's all for now as it is already a big laundry list to get and also the corresponding number of workers to ensure it is an active building.
Current SIM Holdings
At the moment of writing, the current amount of SIM I am holding has reached 215,249 SIM. Main increase came from Young Citizen sales and I did some layer 2 coin conversion to bulk up the amount of SIM that I have.
Why Hold SIM?
This is reminder to all that holding SIM (or commonly known as SIM Power) brings about daily liquid hive if one having above 8000 SIM Power. SIM Power is calculated by the from the 30 days average SIM holdings.
With the increase in SIM in my Hive Engine, the 30 day average of my SIM power will continue to increase and then translate to move liquid Hive earning per day. Amount of liquid Hive per day based on current 30 day average is as seen below:
Assuming no increase in Sim Power, I will get 0.96 liquid Hive per month. The numbers continue to increase and building towards the goal I had for using the liquid Hive to fund for Hive Power Up Day as we inch towards a 1 Hive per month from just this earning. At this moment, it look a little too small and insignificant to being able to get 10 Hive per month, however as I continue to grow, one day I know I will reach there.
Closing
I am glad to have moved a step further in city development and allowing the SIM income per day to break the 40 SIM barrier. I know to big players, this is like an insignificant figure, but to me I like to see the process of building up bit by bit. I have also listed out what should I be attempting to get in the near future to strengthen the services and foundation of the city. Hopefully as I grow, it will also help to fund these purchases too.
