Discovering Hive

If frustration could be a person, it should be me, how have hated being idle. Am never one who derives pleasure in doing nothing, in this case staying home for a whole day while just eating and sleeping are not excluded from the “nothing”. I enjoy relaxation more after lots of works but this was my predicament after I relocated to a different state to live with my elder brother.

Finding myself in a new environment was one thing and the other was staying idle which originally wouldn't have been if I wasn't duped by a friend before leaving for another state. I moved at the beginning of early January this year, with plans already on the ground. I don't believe in the “new year, new me” revolution thing but I knew there would be a positive change in my life, all I needed was to do the work and moving out was the first step and being duped slowed me down to a high degree. By February, I realized I was still in one spot while waiting for a miracle. It was one of the most brokers moments of my life. So many things were left pending because of how difficult it was to raise funds to start my business.

The worst part is, that it was a new environment, a place foreign to me where I didn't have a person to turn to aside from my elder brother. Until I got to that point where I'd used up all my savings and was left with just 500 naira (31 cents) I knew I had to do something.

I was grumbling to myself that very day when my elder brother saw me, I believed he heard all my self-complaints before asking “Can you write?”. It was confusing at some point and that was because I felt every business that involves a blockchain or related to online needs a certain amount of brain level. I was already so desperate to get something done but I needed to be certain it was a job I could do and after he told me it was a writing blog and more, I was still a little reluctant truly because of the picture I had in my head already.

When I knew the majority of the topics were life-related matters I decided to pull up with it and that was how came about my introductory post on a hive which marks the beginning of my hive journey. So far, joining Hive is one of the good things that I was blessed with this year and it's been 8 months since then. Am proud of my achievement and am thankful to my big brother, it is one story I would be willing to elaborate more by the time I've gotten to my fixed goal, hopefully before the year runs out.
