Being better is something that should be taken as very important, as it will boost your confidence in every aspect of your life. Working on yourself will make you stand out in the crowd and make people learn from you. You don't need to just depend on what you achieved yesterday; strive to become better every day because you may not know the opportunity you will get the next moment.

Procrastination is very bad, and it is very important to get rid of it as it can make you not achieve what you were supposed to achieve. There are times you need to be firm in your decisions and work very hard towards achieving your goals. Your body is always fighting growth and making you feel lazy to work on yourself—maybe the way you feel, what you are thinking about, etc.—overcome those factors and strife very hard to become what you want to become.

Mediocrity mindset is another thing that makes you not work on yourself to become the person you ought to be. Get rid of that mindset and desire to be your best in all aspects. Do not want to do something just to please yourself at the level of knowledge you have; try to know what is invoked in the particular season, and make sure that you learn new things so that you will not do something very old. Learn more so that you will be relevant in all areas of your life.

If you are a leader, you need to learn more so as not to look irrelevance in the midst of the people you are leading. People love people who are growing even when themselves are not growing; they just need to see you growing.

Also carry people along in your decisions too, because you can learn one thing or another from the people you feel are not good enough. If you want to grow, make sure you do not pay deaf ears to people. No matter what you think about them, make sure you still listen to people so that you can learn from their opinions.
