TOPPING THE EPL TABLE FOR NOW…

Phew 🥲, it’s been one hell of a crazy 24 hours. This Saturday is actually the best definition of a rollercoaster coupled with a bumpy ride, today has been hectic for over a thousand and one reasons, feelings and emotions were heightened here and there, which means a lot happened both online and offline today. I couldn’t do anything major because the whole situation was quite beyond me, i just stood there and shared a couple of things and enjoyed the rest of the conversation, since that’s the only thing i could do…

I tried to rest a bit after the whole online thing was settled but then while trying to catch some sleep I started hearing a couple of people arguing and raining curses on each other for no reason. I couldn’t hold out any longer and immediately got up from my bed to go prepare myself for the match Liverpool will be playing in the afternoon…

I had to stay out for some hours before the match eventually started. I had to quickly rush home to stream it live on my phone as I couldn’t go watch at the viewing center with my friends…

MATCHDAY 7 SUMMARY…

Liverpool successfully bagged the whole 3 points in their match playoff against BOLOGNA in the UEFA Champions League group stage match on Wednesday. It was a tough match with a couple of mistakes which would have cost us greatly if we hadn’t gotten our heads back into the game on time. Mac Allister and Mohammed Salah came through for us on Wednesday to move us to the next round, it was a beautiful 3 points…

I knew we would be bagging the whole 3 points against Bologna, my confidence hails from the fact that we were playing at our stadium ; ANFIELD. I just knew it within me that we would win the game, and it happened to be as I predicted…

Match-day 7 has come and go for the Liverpool team, midweek was interesting because of our win against Bologna, and today we had to travel to Selhurst Stadium to play against Crystal Palace in their home…

Our formation against Crystal Palace today was quite different from what i had expected, the formation was the same but our first eleven changed a bit. We had Cody Gakpo in front instead of Nunez, Diaz and Andrew Robetson weren’t in the starting lineup, they were all on the substitute team, Tsimikas and a couple of others replaced these people in the first half of the game…

My confidence was restored after i saw Jota and Salah in the starting lineup, I knew the game would be different with these players in the starting lineup, i knew Diaz and co would be coming up in the next half of the game, I missed the first goal of the game thanks to network issues, but thanks to the wonderful assist from Cody Gakpo, Jota found the net and put us a goal ahead of our opponent…

I started watching attentively after our first goal, Crystal Palace played quite well but then we possessed the game in the two halves, their defense was crazy, they really didn’t give us an opening for a second goal. I wasn’t able to watch the second half but then I knew and saw how we dominated the match…

There was some changes towards the middle of the second half, our new player FEDERICO CHIESA has been ruled out of the team due to a knock injury, Kelleher is also out due to an injury. Alisson was taken out and replaced by a young goalkeeper after he sustained an Hamstring injury in the 79th minutes, which means he could be out for a couple of matches…

In summary, Liverpool was able to bag the whole 3 points because of the early goal from Jota, and because of this we are currently at the top of the table, for now though, as it is to early to be too sure of anything…

In conclusion, Kudos to Liverpool for a great performance today, i hope to see more of this wonderful performance…
