How I found my safe haven.

Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. The hive platform is one of the very few platforms that rewards talent. What makes the hive platform special is that anyone and everyone can earn all you need: an account and good content, unlike what we see on other web2 platforms where there are thousands and millions of criteria put in place before one can actually earn rewards for creating content. I never believed a day would come where I would put 100 words together and make it make sense, but being on the hive platform has made it possible that I do it without even stressing so much.

How individuals came to know about this platform varies from one individual to another; some were eager to join after they were told about the platform, while some had to join out of persuasion from their onboarder, and there are some that found their way here through research. How we got to know about the hive platform and finally got to join it varies, but the experience and fun after we finally joined are a bit similar, as the hive platform is a blessing to everyone who comes in contact with it. Being on the hive platform is a blessing; it has helped a lot of people achieve their dreams and is still doing the same thing.

A friend told me about the hive platform in January 2021, and I was eager to join too after he told me how much he has made from the platform and how it pays. The amount of money he has made from the platform had me convinced to join, so I can actually be like him. I had the zeal to join the platform and make some money for myself until he told me I had to be creating contents, either making videos or writing them. At that instant, the zeal I had to join the platform died off, and I had to let it go. He was quite persuasive, but for the fact I find it very difficult to put words together, and I just joined the Steemit platform recently and am still struggling there; adding another struggle would make me lose my mind, so I just had to wave it off.

On the 8th of June 2021, which is my birthday, was when I created my hive account since I wanted to give myself a gift, and I chatted this friend up to guide me through since I had left town, but he said he too had left the platform for reasons best known to him, and now I was left to find my way on my own. I knew no other person on the hive platform. Creating my hive account on my birthday is the best gift I have ever received for my birthday, and I gave that gift to myself, and till date I do not regret it.

My struggles on the hive platform discouraged me countless times, and I found myself giving up and returning to the platform. I had no help out with a delegation; I would make a post and wait at least 2-3 days for my resource credit to recuperate before I could make another. My friend (@josepha) talked about making money on the platform, but I joined, and I was not making a penny as I got no votes at all, but all my struggles at the beginning of my hive journey taught me the importance of consistency. My hive story is never complete without the mcgi community and the hive Learners newbie initiative that helped me find my way around.
