Emergency readiness

In this life we live, we can not predict everything that will happen.

Things do happen instantaneously without any reasons.

Tragic accidents occur, health deteriorates, bills pill up out of the blue.
Nobody plans that they will have an accident in a particular day.

No body can predict the exact time when these things happens. You just sit, relaxing, and you get a call, telling you that mom is not feeling fine and they need a specific amount of money to treat her.

With full knowledge of how unpredictable emergencies can be, I do make necessary preparations before I get into a state of emergency.

The reason why I make preparations is because it helps me relax and worry less, even in the face of a life threatening problems. In most cases, an unprepared mind is bound to loose.

The major preparation make is financial preparation.

Money rules majority (if not all) of the world. With money, emergencies can be taken care off.

The way I get my emergency money is by saving. I have different savings for different things. However, the savings that takes most of my money is the one that is meant for emergencies.

I make sure to keep this money, lock it up and try as much as possible to take my mind off it.

With this, any time I face an emergency , I can be as calm as ever, knowing fully well that I have the financial capacity to tackle that emergency.

If it surpassed my capacity, then, looking for help elsewhere will be inevitable. But then, my calm state will not be changed.

Personally, I think that it is very important to always plan ahead of time, in case there is an emergency.

No doubt, emergencies don't happen quite often, but then, it is inevitable, so, it is necessary to plan.

The strategy I use to save up and be prepared for emergencies, is that, when I get money, I will divide it into different parts.

One part goes for my regular savings
One part go for my emergency savings
One goes for my needs
While the other is reinvested.

This is the simple, but effective way I use to stay out of harms way.

I will recommend you to try it out. Remember, what works for me,may not work for you, but then, you should give it a try.
