Don't play with fire. That is the general advice I give to people. But when it comes to Splinterland I recommend people to Please “Do play with fire”.
Fire Splinter has been a favourite to many players since the beginning of the game. This Splinter used to be melee-focused in the early stages of the game, with Malric being the fan fav. Yes, The old dude with a smoking beard. A couple of sneak monsters, Paired with Cerebus with heal was a guaranteed win. But things changed when the Untamed dropped. The focus shifted from Melee to speed and ranged attack. Some of the monsters were blessed with Blast ability at level 1, and if that's not enough. Yodin Zaku, that dude straight-up gives the ability to all monsters.
But with the Chaos and Rebellion, I am loving how the dynamics have shifted back to melee. And the best part is the Opportunity. Yup, 3 monsters with the ability to target the lowest health enemy monster make that 4 if you are counting the Mad Orge from the Neutral Splinter. Pair all that with Tarsa and watch the monsters go missing from the enemy lineup. Tarsa gives +1 melee and +1 health is super awesome.
And there is this crazy Jacek dude, who asks all his monsters to go crazy with the scattershot ability. Taunt is not for this dude, as the ranged and magic attacks target the enemy backline. And to make things worse for the enemy piercing. Extremely lethal when you provide monsters like Grum. To dispatch the enemy monster quickly adds +2 speed to all the monsters.
There is Skargore in the lineup, first of very cool artwork reminds me of an awesome character from ‘Demon Slayer’. And then there is the enrage ability of all the monsters. Allowing them a boost when the Monster receives any damage. While this ability is awesome, It works best with Monster with high health. Low-health monsters may not even get a chance to enrage.
There is the snakehead dude (Brewmaster Abraxas), the horsehead dude (Brune) and the fire emo dude (monos). I didn't get a good chance to try them. But will cover them soon.
With all this going for them they aren't perfect. They seriously lack in the medic dept. I mean only one monster (Septic Slime) with a healing ability that too is in the gold league. With that much firepower, No tank heal is needed as the Battle probably won't last long, Also, I wouldn't trust Fire Splinter with the Magic attacks, I mean the monsters can dish out impressive attacks but they cost too much mana or are simply too slow to react.
Hello Everyone,
I am inuke and this is my review of the fire splinter from the Splinterland. Splinterland is a Play2Earn card-based game on the Hive Blockchain and... I don't think you need any introduction to the game. It is a fun game to play. I am trying out the modern game format and new cards that the game has launched.
Special thanks to the BeAwesome and IndiaUnited community for their love and support.
And a very special thanks to for teaching me how to use Canva to create awesome thumbnails. The thumbnail is created using Canva and the reference images are from Splinterland. Not bad I would say given that its my first attempt, but I have a long way to go.
All the Images are from Splinterland and edited on Canva.
