One of the things I loved so much about working with a veterinarian was the fact of learning how to properly care for pets (mostly dogs and cats), giving me the opportunity to know very closely the most common cases of diseases that may occur and also how to avoid them, this time I will tell you a little of how beneficial it is to brush your pet, in my case a cat.

Espero que se encuentren súper bien y estén teniendo una increíble semana, llenando de mucho amor a sus mascotas, por este lado de la pantalla todo bien gracias a Dios, mi pequeña Bella cada día más durmiente y comelona jajaja. Una de las cosas que tanto ame en trabajar en compañía de un médico veterinario fue el hecho de aprender a cómo cuidar correctamente a las mascotas (mayormente perros y gatos), dándome la oportunidad de conocer muy de cerca los casos más comunes de enfermedades que se pueden presentar y también el cómo evitarlos, en esta oportunidad te comentare un poco de lo beneficioso que es cepillar a tu mascota, en mi caso una gata.

One of the most common cases that came to the veterinarian regarding cats were hairballs in the stomach, preventing the cat from evacuating normally, there are hairballs that they expel through the mouth, but there are many that form very large to the point of making them sick. The doctor always advised to place a few drops of mene oil on the front paws of the cat, since in general it is there where the cat licks itself to pass the tongue and thus to make its bath normally and in this way all that loose hair would have much faster its expulsion, or in its effect to use a special brush for its fur and to go daily combing them, so I went for this last option.

Uno de los casos que más llegaban a la veterinaria en cuanto a los gatos eran por bolas de pelo en el estómago, impidiendo de tal forma que el gato hiciera sus evacuaciones normalmente, hay bolas de pelo que ellos expulsan por la boca, pero hay muchas que se forman muy grandes a tal punto de enfermarlos. La doctora siempre aconsejaba en colocar unas gotitas de aceite mene en las patas de adelante del gato, ya que en general es allí donde el gato se lame para pasarse la lengua y así hacer su baño normalmente y de esta forma todo ese pelo suelto tendría mucho más rápido su expulsión, o en su efecto utilizar un cepillo especial para su pelaje e ir cotidianamente peinándolos, así que yo me fui por esta última opción.

Brushing Bella made me realize that it helps our relationship because she looks so comfortable and relaxed at that moment and we both enjoy the moment, but the most important thing is that I remove that loose hair and that way I minimize the size and the amount of balls that can form. Since she has a short coat I try to do it at most twice a week.

Cepillar a Bella me hizo caer en cuenta que ayuda en nuestra relación porque ella en ese momento se ve tan cómoda y relajada y ambas disfrutamos del momento, pero lo más importante es que retiro ese pelo suelto y de esa forma minimizo el tamaño y la cantidad de bolas que puedan formarse. Como ella es de pelaje corto trato de hacerlo como máximo dos veces por semana.
