Hace algunos días recibí unos gorros de navidad para que asistiera a una fiesta. Sin embargo, no fui y los gorros navideños quedaron sin uso alguno. La verdad es que no me gusta ponermelos porque siento que no es mi estilo... No obstante, hoy ocurrió algo inesperado. Estaba sentado en mi sala de estar cuando se pronto, Spaik apareció con uno de esos gorros en la boca. No pude hacer nada más que reír, sin intentar quitárselo, pues Spaik parecía muy emocionado con su autoproclamado juguete. Yo estaba algo cansado, pues mi día fue agobiante y repleto de algunos pendientes por completar, pero esto no era una excusa para mí terca mascota, que deseaba jugar conmigo. ¿Qué decidí? Pues aproveché para tomarle unas fotografías, 😂.
Lo primero que hice fue quitarle el gorro de la boca, aunque el huyó de mi y tuve que perseguirlo por toda la casa... Sí, fue una escena bastante graciosa. Creo que Spaik se compadeció de mi, pues dejó el "no juguete" en el piso y yo aproveché para intentar ponerlo en su cabeza. Eso sí, Spaik es bastante obediente cuando se lo pido. Se quedó tranquilo, durante largo rato, incluso después que tenía puesto el gorro navideño. Miraba a los lados y sacaba la lengua, y sin avisar con el movimiento de la cola, se echó a correr otra vez. En definitiva mi mascota estaba en modo corredor. Creo que Spaik intentaba levantar mis ánimos, y lo logró. Siempre cuando llegó cansado a casa, y él lo percibe, busca cualquier ocurrencia canina para sacarme risas. Los Golden Retriever son como terapeutas del ánimo. Agradezco que existan.
Después que Spaik se cansó de correr, fue hasta donde yo estaba como para decirme: "ahora sí, tómame las fotos". Esto no fue nada fácil, pues se movía mucho o volvía a correr. Las selfies fueron más fáciles; Spaik sabe mirar a la cámara y creo que hasta sonríe, jajaja. El gorro de navidad me quedó algo pequeño, creo que en las fotografías apenas se puede ver. A Spaik le quedó mejor, bueno, es un perro con estilo. Creo que le gustó el gorro, porque no dejaba que yo se lo acomodara cuando este se movía y le ocultaba los ojos. Fue bastante divertido; creo que ambos necesitábamos de un momento así para despejar el ajetreo de las épocas navideñas.
Claro que, Spaik también se puso su gorro para enviar un mensaje: "Piensen en las mascotas antes de lanzar fuegos artificiales." Spaik logró acostumbrarse al sonido, pero el resto de sus amigos caninos o gatunos suelen temerles mucho. Al menos yo, en el momento de la lluvia de pirotecnia, pongo a Spaik a escuchar música relajante en mi habitación. Aunque él no les teme, siento que así lo aíslo de todo el ruido. Fue una recomendación del veterinario, y por supuesto, hay que hacerle caso a los doctores de las mascotas.
Spaik, mi familia y yo nos preparamos para memorar una navidad muy especial, sobre todo por lo que representó y sigue representado para mi hermano desde el cielo. Creo que él estaría muy feliz por ver que, su mascota, ahora mascota de toda la familia, también tiene espíritu navideño.

A few days ago I received some Christmas hats to attend a party. However, I didn't go and the Christmas hats were left unused. The truth is that I don't like wearing them because I feel like it's not my style... However, today something unexpected happened. I was sitting in my living room when Spaik suddenly appeared with one of those hats in his mouth. I couldn't do anything but laugh, without trying to take it away, since Spaik seemed very excited with his self-proclaimed toy. I was a little tired, because my day was overwhelming and full of some tasks to complete, but this was not an excuse for my stubborn pet, who wanted to play with me. What did he decide? Well, I took the opportunity to take some photographs, 😂.
The first thing I did was remove the hat from his mouth, although he ran away from me and I had to chase him around the house... Yes, it was a pretty funny scene. I think Spaik took pity on me, because it left the "non-toy" on the floor and I took the opportunity to try to put it on his head. Of course, Spaik is quite obedient when I ask him to. He stayed quiet for a long time, even after he had his Christmas hat on. It looked to the sides and stuck out his tongue, and without warning with the movement of his tail, it started running again. In short, my pet was in runner mode. I think Spaik was trying to lift my spirits, and it succeeded. Always when he came home tired, and he senses it, he looks for any joke he walks to make me laugh. Golden Retrievers are like mood therapists. I appreciate that they exist.
After Spaik got tired of running, it went to where I was as if to say: "Now, take my photos." This was not easy at all, since it moved a lot or ran again. Selfies were easier; Spaik knows how to look at the camera and I think it even smiles, hahaha. The Christmas hat was a little small for me, I think you can barely see it in the photographs. Spaik looked better, well, it's a stylish dog. I think it liked the hat, because it wouldn't let me adjust it when it moved and it hid his eyes. It was quite fun; I think we both needed a moment like that to clear up the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season.
Of course, Spaik also managed to use his hat to send a message: "Think about your pets before launching fireworks." Spaik managed to get used to the sound, but the rest of his canine or cat friends tend to be very afraid of them. . At least I, at the time of the pyrotechnic rain, put Spaik on to listen to relaxing music in my room. Although he isn't afraid of them, I feel like this insulates him from all the noise. It was a recommendation from the veterinarian, and of course, you have to listen to your pet's doctors.
Spaik, my family and I are preparing to commemorate a very special Christmas, especially for what he represented and continues to represent for my brother from heaven. I think he would be very happy to see that his pet, now the whole family's pet, also has the Christmas spirit.
