That's right, there's been a new inhabitant in the house for a little over a month now and she has adapted so well that right now writing this post it seems to me as if she came much longer ago.
Her name is Chocolate and she is a dwarf bunny who ended up in our house as an impulsive decision of my sister after being on call. Doctors can't make decisions after doing shifts, they have foggy thinking from tiredness.
But I say that because of my surprise when I found out about Chocolate, as for my sister and the rest of the household, they are more than happy. They love animals and are really happy to be able to take care of and play with Chocolate. The thing is, I'm not much of a pet person myself.
However I have worked a bit on my approach with her. This is one of the first pictures I took of her when she had just arrived and she was much smaller and looked like a little ball of fur.

Despite being a dwarf rabbit, something that had persuaded my sister to choose her because of the convenience of having her in an apartment, she has grown quite a lot and quickly, she already weighs more than a kilo and I'm sure she is more than twice the size she was when arrived.
She lost the mistrust she had once we let her out of the cage and wander around the house, usually coming back in the evenings to sleep and when hungry to get her food. It turned out to be a funny combination, sometimes she is very energetic jumping all over the place, but other times she spends long periods of time lying on the floor as if the laziness was just too much for her.
We have seen that she has her preferences, of course lying on the floor, even in the sun is one of her favorite things to do, as well as feeding time because she gets very excited when she hears the sound of the food bag. But most of all she loves to spend time with my sister and to be petted by her.
When she sees my sister sitting on the couch or close to her, she always tries to jump up to be as close as possible and stays very quiet waiting for her affection. She is always looking for her and is of all people her favorite person. I am the last on the list.

I'm used to my sister's animals developing some suspicion towards me, I don't treat them badly but I don't play with animals either and they must feel that I'm a bit stubborn, because Chocolatita only tries to bite me whenever we are too close, no one else.
Taking pictures of her I found that she had a very nice profile and even though it is not easy to capture her, she has model poses, the thing is that most of the time she is jumping all over the place, which is very amusing.
I managed to take a picture of her with me to introduce her to Hive, guys this is Chocolate.

¡Un nuevo miembro en la familia!
Así es, hace poco más de un mes hay una nueva habitante en casa y se ha adaptado tan bien que, ahora mismo escribiendo este post, me parece como si hubiese llegado hace mucho más tiempo.
Su nombre es Chocolate y es una conejita enana que terminó en nuestra casa como una decisión impulsiva post guardia de mi hermana médico, los doctores no pueden tomar decisiones después de hacer turnos, tienen el pensamiento nublado del cansancio.
Pero eso lo comento es por mi impresión al enterarme de la existencia de Chocolate, porque en cuanto a mi hermana y el resto de los componentes del hogar, están más que contentos. Adoran a los animales y están realmente felices de poder cuidar y jugar con Chocolate. Lo que pasa es que yo no soy muy de mascotas.
Sin embargo he trabajado un poco en mi acercamiento con ella. Esta es una de las primeras fotos que le hice cuando acababa de llegar y estaba mucho más pequeña, tenía carita de asustada y parecía una bolita de pelos.

A pesar de ser un conejo enano, cosa que había convencido a mi hermana al momento de elegirla por lo cómodo de tenerle en un apartamento, ha crecido bastante y con rapidez, ya pesa más de un kilo y estoy segura que tiene el más del doble del tamaño que cuando llegó.
Perdió la poca desconfianza que tenía una vez que le dejamos salir de la jaula y andar por la casa, suele regresar por las noches a dormir y cuando tiene hambre para conseguir sus provisiones. Resultó ser una combinación divertida, a veces está muy frenética y saltarina subiéndose a todos lados, pero otras veces pasa largos ratos tirada en el suelo como si la flojera fuese demasiado para ella.
Hemos visto que tiene sus preferencias, por supuesto estar ratos echada en el suelo, incluso llevando el sol es de sus cosas favoritas, además de la hora de comer porque suele emocionarse mucho cuando escucha el sonido de la bolsa de comida. Pero sobre todo le encanta pasar rato con mi hermana y que ella le acaricie.
Cuando ve que mi hermana se sienta en el sofá o está cerca de ella, siempre intenta saltar para posarse lo más cercano posible y se queda muy tranquila esperando que le acaricie. La busca siempre y es entre todos su persona favorita. Yo soy la última en la lista.

Estoy acostumbrada a que los animales de mi hermana desarrollen cierto recelo hacia mí, no les trato mal pero tampoco soy de jugar con animales y ellos deben sentir que soy un poco arisca, porque Chocolatita solo intenta morderme a mí cuando estamos demasiado cerca, a nadie más.
Haciéndole fotos me pareció que tenía un muy bonito perfil y que a pesar de no ser fácil capturarla, tiene poses de modelo, lo que pasa es que la mayoría de las veces está saltando por todos lados, cosa que es muy graciosa.
Conseguí hacerle una foto conmigo para introducirla a Hive, esta es Chocolate.
