Hoy quiero compartirles la experiencia que tuvo mi gatita Aramis fuera de casa, ya que desde que la adoptamos no la sacaba del apartamento porque en las inmediaciones del edificio suelen estar los gatos vecinos que ya son más grandes, y como ella apenas tiene 3 meses, me daba miedo que pudieran hacerle daño.

Así que aproveché mi tarde libre y luego del almuerzo decidí bajarla a una zona con tierra y algo de vegetación, que nunca suelo visitar, por lo que no sabía en qué condiciones estaba, pero es el único sitio cercano en el que ella puede estar en contacto con un ambiente más natural que la cerámica del piso de casa.

Al principio estaba extrañada pero no temerosa, más bien se dedicó a olfatear un poco aquí y allá, mientras dos de los gatos de los vecinos se acercaban curiosos, pero sin ser agresivos. En algún momento ella quiso buscarle juegos y ellos fueron quienes se alejaron con miedo de su presencia.

Me gustó mucho que no se pusieran ariscos con ella o viceversa, y aunque no está en mis planes dejarla que salga por su cuenta, por lo menos estoy tranquila que si hacemos este tipo de experimentos, no la van a lastimar, aunque no pretendo descuidarla cuando la saque nuevamente. Al final ella misma decidió que ya estaba bueno del experimento y se quiso salir de la zona, por lo que la tomé cargada y subimos a casa nuevamente.

Creo que por los momentos prefiere asomarse por el balcón a ver el mundo desde lejos. Lo malo es que estando en época de frío quiere que mantenga la puerta abierta para entrar y salir a placer, cuando los humanos preferimos que esté cerrada para que no nos enfríe el interior de la casa.

Espero porder seguir con esta rutina por lo menos de manera interdiaria, aunque ya mi hijo menor se encarga de sacarla dentro del mismo piso donde se encuentra nuestro departamento, que es de cemento, pero igual le gusta tener unos minutos diferentes durante el día y para mi niño es un "trabajo" del cual saca dividendos para comprarse cositas en la cantina de su escuela.

Today I want to share with you the experience that my kitten Aramis had outside the house, since we adopted her we have not taken her out of the apartment because in the vicinity of the building the neighboring cats are usually larger, and as she is only 3 months old, I was afraid they could hurt her.

So I took advantage of my free afternoon and after lunch I decided to take her to an area with some land and vegetation, which I never visit, so I didn't know what the conditions were, but it is the only nearby place where she can be in contact with a more natural environment than the ceramic of the floor at home.

At first she was strange but not afraid, rather she dedicated herself to sniffing here and there, while two of the neighbor's cats approached curious, but without being aggressive. At some point she wanted to find games and they were the ones who left scared of her presence.

I liked that they were not prickly with her or vice versa, and although it is not in my plans to let her out on her own, at least I am calm that if we do this type of experiment, they will not hurt her, although I do not intend to neglect her when I take her out again.

In the end she herself decided that it was enough of the experiment and she wanted to leave the area, so I took her and we went up to the house again. I think for the moment she prefers to look out the balcony to see the world from afar. The bad thing is that being in cold weather she wants me to keep the door open to come and go at will, when humans prefer it to be closed so that the interior of the house does not get cold.

I hope to be able to continue with this routine at least on a daily basis, although my younger son is in charge of taking her inside the same floor where our apartment is located, which is made of concrete, but she still likes to have a few different minutes during the day and for my son it is a "job" from which he gets dividends to buy things in the canteen of his school.
