Walking with new leashes (ESP-ENG)

Greetings, dear friends, pet lovers. Delighted to be back in this beautiful community to tell you one more moment in the life of my doggy loves.

Saludos, queridos amigos, amantes de las mascotas. Encantada de pasar de nuevo por esta linda comunidad para contarles un momento más de la vida de mis amores perrunos.

Being a pet parent turns out to be a commitment as much as we are with our children. It implies many responsibilities and we must, at all times, be more attentive to their needs, their behaviors and their care because they cannot talk to us, although I know that many dog lovers like me, know the canine language and we understand them just by looking at their eyes.

In this publication, I come to tell you that we had to buy leashes for Bruno and Blacky, because the latter, a tremendous boy, broke his leash on one of our walks. That is to say, before going for a walk, I was distracted putting the leashes on Maga and Bruno, and while I was busy doing that, Blacky was chewing his leash until he broke it. By the time I realized it, he was loose again all over the house, scampering happily to get out. For a moment, I was going to give up on the walk, as we couldn't take all three of them out, missing Blacky's leash, but they were so happy that my husband had to work out a quick stitch that would allow Blacky to be taken too.

So, we had been taking them out for walks, but there was always the fear that the stitching would break and Blacky would get loose. So, to get rid of that worry, it was time to buy leashes for the two dogs in the house, since they have shown more strength on walks and the truth is that the ones they had were from when they were puppies.

Ser padres de una mascota resulta ser un compromiso tan igual a como lo somos con nuestros hijos. Implica muchas responsabilidades y debemos, en todo momento, estar más atentos a sus necesidades, a sus comportamientos y a sus cuidados porque ellos no pueden hablarnos, aunque sé que muchos amantes de los perros como yo, conocemos el lenguaje canino y bien los entendemos con solo mirarles los ojitos.

En esta publicación, vengo a contarles que tuvimos que comprarles unas correas a Bruno y a Blacky, pues este último, chico tremendo, rompió la suya en una de las salidas a pasear. Es decir, antes de salir de paseo, me distraje poniéndoles las correas a Maga y a Bruno, y mientras yo estaba ocupada en eso, Blacky estaba mordiendo su correa hasta que la deshizo. Cuando me di cuenta, él andaba suelto de nuevo por toda la casa, correteando feliz para salir. Por un momento, iba a desistir del paseo, pues no podíamos sacarlos a los tres, faltándole la correa a Blacky, pero estaban tan felices que mi esposo tuvo que resolver con una costura rápida que permitiera llevar a Blacky también.

Así, habiamos estado sacándolos a pasear, pero siempre estaba latente el temor de que la costura se rompiera y Blacky quedara suelto. Así pues, para quitarnos esa preocupación, llegó el momento de comprar correas para los dos perros de la casa, ya que han demostrado más fuerza en los paseos y la verdad es que las que ellos tenían eran de cuando estaban cachorros.

As you can see in the pictures, these leashes are thicker and stronger than the previous ones. Precisely, we wanted them this way so that if Blacky, tries to bite them again, I think he can, it will cost him more and we can realize it in time, before he damages her.

The leashes have a cute doggie design on the fabric that covers them and we bought the two colors that were available: dark blue and light blue. The breastplate has a good latch and clicks easily. It also has a large hook to attach the leash to the breastplate. These straps cost us $20 each. I think the quality/cost ratio is well adjusted, as we had seen others at about the same price and lower quality.

Como pueden ver en las fotografías, estas correas son más gruesas y más fuertes que las anteriores. Precisamente, las buscamos así para que si Blacky, intenta morderlas de nuevo, creo que sí puede hacerlo, le cueste más y podamos darnos cuenta a tiempo, antes de que la dañe.

Las correas tienen un lindo diseño de perritos en la tela que las cubre y compramos los dos colores que estaban disponibles: azul oscuro y azul claro. La pechera tiene un buen seguro y hace el click fácilmente. Además, tiene un gancho grande para sujetar la correa a la pechera. Estas correas nos costaron $20 cada una. Me parece que la relación calidad-costo está bien ajustada, en cuanto habíamos visto otras casi al mismo precio y de baja calidad.

We dog lovers definitely understand dog language and can communicate with our pets just by looking at their eyes. I wanted to share these pictures with you as a sample of the interaction with my Blacky when I was asking him why he had broken that leash and showing him the stitching that had to be done to be able to take him for a walk. Don't you think that's him talking to me? I understood him, everything hahaha. He was sorry for what he did, and he was sorry to me, but he doesn't know if he can avoid not doing it again, hahaha. He is going to try.

Definitivamente, los amantes de perritos comprendemos el lenguaje canino y podemos comunicarnos con nuestras mascotas tan solo con mirarles los ojitos. Quise compartirles estas fotografías como muestra de la interacción con mi Blacky en el momento en que le preguntaba por qué había roto esa correa y le mostraba la costura que hubo que hacerle para poderlo sacar a pasear. ¿No creen ustedes que ahí me está hablando? Yo le entendí, todo jajaja. Estaba lamentando lo que hizo, y tenía pena conmigo, pero no sabe si puede evitar no volver a hacerlo, jajaja. Lo va a intentar.

Today we went for a long walk that left us all exhausted, but we were able to test the leashes and I can say that they gave me a lot of security, because the moment I needed to stop them when they saw another dog or a cat, I felt that they are strong and that they are not going to get damaged so easily.

Hoy dimos una larga caminata que nos dejó exhaustos a todos, pero pudimos probar las correas y puedo decir que me dieron mucha seguridad, pues en el momento en el que tuve necesidad de detenerlos cuando veían a otro perro o a un gato, sentí que son fuertes y que no se van a dañar tan fácilmente.
