Por eso, cuando mi gata alcanzó la mayoría de edad, decidí poner en marcha mis ahorros para poder costear una jornada de esterilización, lo que implicó tener que salir fuera de mi pueblo.
Hello dear Hive community, I hope you are doing great. Today it is a pleasure to be able to share with you my adventures with my pets, as I was recently able to spay my cat Amber, thanks to the rewards I was able to save on Hive. So I'm here to tell you about my experience.
I decided to spay my kitty because I consider cat overpopulation to be something of a concern, and many times we don't become aware of it, except when our pets accidentally get pregnant. So when my cat came of age, I decided to put my savings to work to pay for a spay day, which meant going out of town.
Entre los preparativos del preoperatorio, como es habitual, estuvo la suspensión de alimentos después de las seis de la tarde del día anterior. Además, llevé los materiales correspondientes, como guantes, gasas, rollos de papel higiénico, un costal para evitar que las mascotas escapen, y su respectiva manta para después de la esterilización.
El día de la operación fue algo agitado, ya que tuvimos que salir de casa temprano para llegar a tiempo. Ámbar ingresó al quirófano alrededor de las nueve de la mañana, y tuve que firmar una autorización por si ocurría alguna complicación. Gracias a Dios, todo salió bien. Lo único complicado fue que tuve que estar todo el día fuera de la fundación, ya que vivo lejos del lugar, pero en general, todo el proceso fue excelente.
Among the pre-surgery preparations, as usual, was the suspension of food after six o'clock in the evening the day before. In addition, I took the corresponding materials, such as gloves, gauze, rolls of toilet paper, a sack to prevent the pets from escaping, and their respective blanket for after the sterilization.
The day of the operation was a bit hectic, as we had to leave home early to arrive on time. Amber went into the operating room around 9:00 a.m., and I had to sign a consent form in case of any complications. Thank God, everything went well. The only complicated thing was that I had to be away from the foundation all day, since I live far away from the place, but in general, the whole process was excellent.
Cuando me entregaron a mi gatita, me dieron las indicaciones para ayudarla a sobrellevar mejor la anestesia. Entre ellas, darle pequeñas dosis de agua con azúcar a intervalos de tiempo, lo cual le sentó muy bien y la ayudó a pasar la noche sin estar completamente anestesiada. También me dieron los medicamentos para el postoperatorio, pero si quieren, podemos hablar de eso en otro momento. ¿Cómo ha sido su experiencia con la esterilización de sus mascotas?
When my kitty was delivered to me, I was given instructions to help her cope better with the anesthesia. These included giving her small doses of sugar water at intervals, which did her good and helped her get through the night without being fully anesthetized.
