Hace varios días que estaba por ir a una Exposición de Arte para participar en el Concurso Mensual de la Comunidad de ExpresArte que fue lanzado a principios de Abril. Así que está es mi participación en el concurso y también mi experiencia como Fin de Semana. Que sin muchos rodeos les cuento que fue grandiosa ya que en la exposición vi cuadros artísticos realizados por un artista pinareño que no conocía. Tuve que indagar acerca de su vida y obra para hacer esta publicación. Le hice varias preguntas a la señora frente a la exposición y con poca información que me dió fue suficiente para indagar sobre él. El artista se llama Juan Alberto Suárez Blanco. Les dejo un enlace de una entrevista que le hicieron en donde está su biografía por si quieren conocerle.
Al llegar a la Galería de Arte Arturo Regueiro ubicada en Casa de la Cultura, Calle Marti, Fomento, Pinar del Río, Pinar del Río. Me atendió una señora muy amable. La que le pedí permiso para entrar y ella me dijo que claro que podía pasar. La exposición que actualmente esta vigente en la galería se llama "Zonas de Silencio" por Juan Suárez Blanco. La misma inició el 13 de abril a las 4:00 de la tarde, como se puede ver en la siguiente foto.

En el salón habían colgados 15 cuadros con una excelentísima calidad cada uno de ellos. Primero hice un recorrido cuadro por cuadro y los que más me cautivaron pedí permisos a la señora frente a la galería para que me dejara tomarles fotos. Le expliqué que era para una publicación para la comunidad de ExpresArte y para Hive. Ya con el permiso de la señora les hice Fotografías a los cuadros que me envolvieron con su calidez y su significado.
Expondré los cuadros del que menos me cautivó pero me cautivó, hasta el qué más lo hizo y qué me dejó sin palabras.
Nota: Las fotos fueron tomadas con mi Motorola Moto E5 Play así que discúlpeme por la mala calidad de las fotos. Por ello tuve que recortarlas y editarlas como medio para que ustedes la pudiesen ver mejor.
Dentro de los 15 cuadros en la galería le hice fotografía a 5 que para mi fueron los que mas me gustaron. Así que como ya les dije les dejo el orden del que menos me gustó al que mas me gustó dentro de los 5 que mas me gustaron. Que loco trabalenguas verdad 😅.
El cuadro número 5 en esta selección está "Paralelo 20 - Puerto"
Elegí este cuadro por la calma y serenidad que me transmitió al verlo. Mi primera impresión fué como si estuviera en unos puertos vacíos y abandonados. (Prácticamente cómo estan los puertos cubanos). La técnica utilizada según la etiqueta de la galería es Medios Mixtos, pero se puede ver que es Óleo sobre Lienzo. Sin dudas es magistral esta obra en otras palabras es como si se fundiera la conexión de la soledad del fondo del mar con este puerto. Para mí que el autor quiso transmitir ese silencio en este cuadro.

El cuadro número 4 en esta selección está "La nube azul"
Este fué el segundo cuadro que vi cuando entré en el salón. Les puedo decir que estuve unos minutos concentrado en los colores azules y como se mezcla la nube con supongo que la Luna y las estrellas. Este cuadro por los colores y por lo que se ve estoy seguro que transmite la soledad de las nubes en el cielo y el silencio de las noches, además que las nubes con la luz de la Luna sin dudas son bellas. Es un buen cuadro para ponerte a reflexionar sin dudas. La técnica usada según la etiqueta es Medios Mixtos pero se puede apreciar que es Óleo sobre Lienzo.

El cuadro número 3 para esta selección está "Nube Blanca"
Este es el primer cuadro que vi porque quedaba frente a la entrada y si que es super llamativo a lo lejos de cerca te vuela la tapa de los sesos. Cuando me acerque al cuadro para verlo mejor, no te puedo explicar exactamente lo que sentí. El contraste entre el blanco de la nube y los colores rojos oscuro alrededor de la nube te envuelven. Para mí es como la tristeza y soledad que llevamos todos por dentro con esa pisca de luz que tenemos todos esperando para ser explotada. Nuestros corazones estan llenos de maldad pero esta ahí en todos nosotros esa pequeña luz de bondad por hacer el bien. Y es lo que creo que el artista quiso reflejar en esta obra. Según la etiqueta dice que esta echa con Medios Mixtos pero se puede apreciar qué es Óleo sobre Lienzo.

El cuadro número 2 para esta selección es "Conexión II"
Este cuadro fue el último que vi y me encantó. Sin dudas es un cuadro que hace renombre el cómo se titula. Para mi el cuadro representa lo difícil que es para todos lo de conectar con otras personas. Ese tema delicado el cuál nos enfrentamos casi siempre en nuestra vida. El miedo a ser traicionado por un amigo. El cuadro guarda ese significado. Es como la frase esa que a veces tu peor enemigo no es tu enemigo en sí, sino tu mejor amigo. Esta sin dudas brutal. Me encantó la verdad. Según la etiqueta dice que fue creado con Medios Mixtos. Pero se puede apreciar que hay varias técnicas utilizadas que no se cuáles son.

El cuadro número 1 para esta selección es "La colina herida"
Para el primer lugar de esta selección les traigo el cuadro más polémico y con el mayor significado que había en todo el salón, el cuadro de que les hablo es "La colina herida"
Este cuadro fue el tercero que vi y tarde cantidad en descifrar de que iba la obra. Tanto que fue así que le pregunté a la señora al frente de la galería y ella me puso en contexto. El cuadro fue echo en el 2019 luego de que La Habana pasara por un desastre natural por el paso de un tornado. Ahí comprendí la obra. Suárez le da un toque de ternura y sencillez al cuadro expresando el dolor de ese hecho ocurrido. La verdad que lo expresa muy al detalle con cada pincelada. La obra la puse en primer lugar de esta seleccion por lo que representa. Y ya cuando la entendí si que esta a otro nivel inexplicable. Según la etiqueta este cuadro fue creado con Medios Mixtos pero se puede apreciar que es Óleo sobre Lienzo.

Several days ago I was about to go to an Art Exhibition to participate in the Monthly Contest of the ExpresArte Community that was launched at the beginning of April. So this is my participation in the contest and also my experience as Weekend. That without much beating around the bush I tell you that it was great since in the exhibition I saw artistic paintings made by an artist from Pinar del Rio that I did not know. I had to find out about his life and work to make this publication. I asked several questions to the lady in front of the exhibition and the little information she gave me was enough to find out about him. The artist's name is Juan Alberto Suárez Blanco. I leave you a link to an interview that was made where his biography is in case you want to know him.
When I arrived at the Art Gallery Arturo Regueiro located in Casa de la Cultura, Calle Marti, Fomento, Pinar del Río, Pinar del Río. I was attended by a very kind lady. I asked her for permission to enter and she told me that of course I could come in. The exhibition currently on display at the gallery is called "Zonas de Silencio" by Juan Suárez Blanco. It began on April 13 at 4:00 in the afternoon, as can be seen in the following photo.

In the living room there were 15 paintings hung with an excellent quality each one of them. First I made a tour painting by painting and the ones that captivated me the most, I asked permission to the lady in front of the gallery to let me take pictures of them. I explained that it was for a publication for the ExpresArte community and for Hive. With the lady's permission I took pictures of the paintings that enveloped me with their warmth and meaning.
I will expose the pictures of the one that captivated me the least but captivated me, to the one that did the most and that left me speechless.
Note: The pictures were taken with my Motorola Moto E5 Play so excuse me for the poor quality of the pictures. So I had to crop them and edit them as a way for you guys to see it better.
Among the 15 pictures in the gallery I took pictures of 5 that I liked the most. So as I told you I leave you the order from the one I liked the least to the one I liked the most within the 5 that I liked the most. What a crazy tongue twister isn't it 😅.
Picture number 5 in this selection is "Parallel 20 - Port"
I chose this painting because of the calm and serenity it conveyed when I saw it. My first impression was as if I was in some empty and abandoned ports (practically how Cuban ports are). The technique used according to the gallery label is Mixed Media, but you can see that it is Oil on Canvas. Undoubtedly this work is masterful, in other words, it is as if the connection between the solitude of the bottom of the sea and this port was fused. For me the author wanted to transmit that silence in this painting.

Picture number 4 in this selection is "The blue cloud"
This was the second painting I saw when I entered the room. I can tell you that I spent a few minutes concentrating on the blue colors and how the cloud is mixed with I guess the Moon and the stars. This painting by the colors and by what you see I am sure it transmits the solitude of the clouds in the sky and the silence of the nights, plus the clouds with the moonlight are undoubtedly beautiful. It is a good painting to make you reflect without a doubt. The technique used according to the label is Mixed Media but you can see that it is Oil on Canvas.

Picture number 3 for this selection is "White Cloud"
This is the first painting I saw because it was in front of the entrance and it's really eye-catching from up close, it blows your mind. When I approached the painting to see it better, I can't explain exactly what I felt. The contrast between the white of the cloud and the dark red colors around the cloud envelop you. To me it is like the sadness and loneliness we all carry inside with that little bit of light we all have waiting to be exploited. Our hearts are full of evil but it is there in all of us that little light of goodness to do good. And that is what I think the artist wanted to reflect in this work. According to the label it says that it is made with Mixed Media but you can see that it is Oil on Canvas.

Picture number 2 for this selection is "Connection II"
This painting was the last one I saw and I loved it. Without a doubt it is a painting that makes a name for how it is titled. For me the painting represents how difficult it is for all of us to connect with other people. That delicate subject which we almost always face in our lives. The fear of being betrayed by a friend. The painting keeps that meaning. It is like the phrase that sometimes your worst enemy is not your enemy itself, but your best friend. This one is undoubtedly brutal. I really loved it. According to the label it says it was created with Mixed Media. But you can see that there are several techniques used that I don't know what they are.

Picture number 1 for this selection is "The Wounded Hill"
For the first place of this selection I bring you the most controversial and most meaningful painting that was in the whole room, the painting I am talking about is "The Wounded Hill".
This painting was the third one I saw and it took me a long time to decipher what the work was about. So much so that I asked the lady in front of the gallery and she put me in context. The painting was made in 2019 after Havana went through a natural disaster due to a tornado. That's when I understood the work. Suarez gives a touch of tenderness and simplicity to the painting expressing the pain of that event. The truth is that he expresses it in detail with each brushstroke. I put the work in the first place of this selection for what it represents. And when I understood it, it is at another inexplicable level. According to the label this painting was created with Mixed Media but you can see that it is Oil on Canvas.
