Hola de nuevo querido ecosistema de Hive, en su plataforma PeakD y su bonita comunidad "Zona de escalofríos".
El día de hoy comparto con ustedes una historia de terror que escribí sobre el tema del mes en la comunidad, que es LAS SIRENAS. Por cuestiones de salud no pude participar a tiempo en la dinámica, pero dejo con mucho gusto este escrito como aporte a la misma. Espero sea de su agrado.
Miriam, una chica de 15 años, se encuentra viendo el video más reciente de Ariana Mer-Maid, su youtuber favorita, cuando de pronto siente la incontrolable necesidad de lastimarse y comienza a realizarse cortes en los brazos, lo cual le provoca un profundo sangrado y, como consecuencia, cae desmayada en su cama, tiñéndola de un rojo oscuro y penetrante.
En otra parte de la ciudad, Abraham, un chico de 16 años está a punto de aventarse del quinto piso de su edificio de apartamentos, mientras en su celular se encuentra escuchando a Karina Mer-Maid, quien es hermana de Ariana y tiene un podcast muy famoso en Internet. El tema de esta noche es: “Cuando no hay motivos para seguir”.
Y desde la playa de aquel lugar, Minerva, una joven de 18 años, está a punto de sumergirse al mar, aún sin saber nadar, mientras en sus auriculares reproduce la canción “En la ola de la perdición” de Alexa Mer-Maid, su cantante favorita. Sí, Alexa es la hermana mayor de Miriam y Karina.
Parecieran casos aislados pero casi todos los suicidios que han estado sucediendo en “Playa Celeste” tienen algo en común: LAS CHICAS MER-MAID.
Estas hermanas llegaron al pueblo 2 meses antes de que comenzaran los suicidios.
Ya son 13 casos confirmados de suicidio en donde, de alguna u otra manera, las hermanas están presentes, pues las víctimas se encontraban viendo sus videos, escuchando sus audios u oyendo sus canciones mientras cometían el acto.
Los padres de familia, horrorizados, comenzaron una campaña de veto y desprestigio contra las hermanas, quienes se defendieron, argumentando que su trabajo no es dañino, sino que los jóvenes tenían muchos problemas, a los cuales ellos como padres no supieron atender.
Pero aún así las artistas decidieron dejar la ciudad, para evitar confrontaciones y emprendieron viaje a “Playa Ensueño”, la ciudad vecina, que también está ubicada frente al mar.
Para las autoridades del pueblo las quejas de los padres resultaron infundadas, pues nadie puede obligarte a cometer suicidio… ¿o sí?
Para todos esto es una locura, menos para Ricardo Estrella, un detective que también perdió a su hijo por suicidio con un balazo en la cabeza. Él y su hijo se amaban y llevaban una vida tranquila, hasta que las hermanas llegaron y “lo enloquecieron”.
La actitud de las hermanas era digna de admirar, pues se la pasaban conviviendo con su público, incluso hacían convivencias y regalaban cosas, entre ellas una bonita pulsera en forma de cola de sirena.
Ricardo toma la pulsera y se la pone, mientras recuerda, llorando, todos esos bellos momentos que vivió con su hijo. Pero de pronto comienza a escuchar una especie de música, parecida a un canto gregoriano y entre ese alboroto una voz comienza a decirle: “Hazlo, vamos, hazlo, sabes que quieres hacerlo; es momento de demostrar cuántos nos amas. Hazlo, hazlo, sólo corta tu garganta y pronto estarás con nosotras, disfrutando. Hazlo, hazlo, ¡HAZLO! Y el detective siente unas ganas inmensas de hacer lo que le dice la voz, y va a la cocina, agarra un cuchillo y se lo lleva lentamente al cuello…
¡NO!, grita mientras tira el cuchillo, cierra sus ojos y se arranca la pulsera…
Y aún sin entender escucha otra voz detrás de él: “Los adolescentes son más fáciles de manejar, son tan vulnerables”. Voltea y se encuentra a Minerva frente a frente, quien continúa diciendo: “Descubriste nuestro plan y eres un tonto adulto, tendremos que hacer algo contigo”, mientras Ariana y Karina se manifiestan, convertidas en seres horribles, mitad mujer y mitad pez; ellas, sin reparo, lo toman de brazos y piernas, a la par de Minerva, quien comienza a recitar un canto extraño…
Y de pronto, de entre las penumbras surge una criatura aún más horrible: parece ser una mujer pero mezclada con pez, pulpo y serpiente, quien toma a Ricardo del cuello y dice, con voz espectral: “Gracias muchachas, los niños son muy dulces pero los adultos son de sabor único. Sus almas son tan deliciosas”, y así, acercando su horrible boca a la cara del detective, comienza a sacar un líquido negro de ella, que lo envuelve y va asfixiándolo, hasta que cae, muerto en el piso y las 3 hermanas junto con la misteriosa criatura desaparecen, riendo y cantando de gusto y placer.
