La Ceiba (Esp/ Eng)

Cerca de mi casa, enfrente de mi edificio, hay dos grandes ceibas, que se encuentran en todo el paso de los transeúntes y la carretera principal, es decir, si vas a pie te toca pasar por todo el frente de ellas, ya que también están en pleno cruce de la carretera, en una curva de la misma, teniendo también a disposición de las personas una pasarela que lleva hacia mi edificio. A simple vista se ven hermosas, pues las ceibas son majestuosas, con toda su estampa, grande y frondosa.

Pero a medida que te vas acercando, el olor a animales en descomposición enturbian el ambiente y cuando ya estás cerca, puedes ver el porqué de esos olores, puedes observar diferentes ofrendas, "trabajos" espirituales y con ellos cadáveres de animales, he allí el motivo de los olores desagradables. La mayoría de las personas al ver y sentir esto aceleran el paso y pasan rápido por donde ellas, generando rechazo. Cuando va oscureciendo, el lugar se torna lóbrego y muchos prefieren cruzar por la calle en pleno, antes que pasar cerca, entre esos yo, ja, ja, ja

Según lo que me han hablado a lo largo de mi existencia de la ceiba, es que es un árbol sagrado en muchas culturas de varios países, entre ellos mi país (Venezuela) se dice que donde hay una ceiba hay una protección y es un lugar de encuentro entre los muertos y los vivos, también se le dan atribuciones sanadoras de los espacios de la tierra. Hay muchas leyendas, donde la ceiba va en conjunto con los protagonistas, que casi siempre son seres fuera de este mundo, espíritus, duendes... Yo por si acaso, siempre que paso por allí, voy con mi respeto y consideración, pues uno no sabe qué puede pasar a la vuelta de la esquina…

At first glance they look beautiful, because the ceibas are majestic, with all its stamp, large and lush.

But as you get closer, the smell of decomposing animals clouds the atmosphere and when you are close, you can see the reason for those smells, you can see different offerings, spiritual "works" and with them animal corpses, that is the reason for the unpleasant odors. Most of the people, when they see and feel this, speed up their pace and pass quickly by them, generating rejection. When it gets dark, the place becomes gloomy and many prefer to cross the street in full, rather than pass by, among them me, ha, ha, ha, ha.

According to what I have been told throughout my existence about the ceiba, is that it is a sacred tree in many cultures of several countries, including my country (Venezuela) it is said that where there is a ceiba there is a protection and is a meeting place between the dead and the living, it is also given healing powers of the spaces of the earth. There are many legends, where the ceiba goes together with the protagonists, who are almost always beings out of this world, spirits, goblins.... Just in case, whenever I go through there, I always go with my respect and consideration, because one does not know what can happen around the corner...
