RE: Knowing the process of exploration and production of hydrocarbons under an engineering approach

It is a transition that will be executed very slowly in my understanding and assessment of the global energy landscape.

To be able to assure that humanity will not need more of the derivatives of fossil fuels is a very hasty assertion, certainly the prices of oil have experienced a fall in their prices due to the low demand product of the world-wide quarantine that has taken place by the pandemic of the covid-19, nevertheless once this happens little by little the oil and the industry will be recovering the lost space.

Now I can not deny that the exploitation of hydrocarbons and the burning of fuels derived from oil have a negative environmental impact and contribute to the acceleration of global warming and climate change, however, alternative and renewable energies have not been able to have the energy potential that has the impact of being able to replace energy derived from oil, perhaps in the future there will be new discoveries where science can generate some type of energy generation that does not have a negative environmental impact but in turn succeeds in covering the entire global energy demand.

Greetings and I hope I have answered your concern about this point.
