Handg'macht Markets - Handicrafts & Design
At the moment there is soooo much going on that I hardly get to put it all into words. A particularly nice afternoon was almost two weeks ago, when we played with our trio "LiLA y Geckos" at the arts and crafts market in Gamlitz in southern Styria. The market took place at the Motorikpark and this park would be worthy of its own contribution. But today I report from the market.
We were already there at 10 o'clock and set up our equipment, so that we could start with the musical part at 11 o'clock. Already the welcome was warm and the place next to the "Mexican food stand" was more than perfect 😁 Wonder why? Already at the beginning we were well supplied with Mexican coffee, which was also necessary at this time 😁 (Consider the arrival time of just under 1 hour and also the dismantling & loading of the whole equipement needs also about 1 hour, the evening before we had an event, and on top of that I am a little owl 😁).
Oh well, Mexican coffee was thus very good for us! Also the gluten free bread they had there was delicious! Then for lunch we had "chimichanga". Ohhh, what a word, I said it at least 50 times that day to remember it, but now when I writing this article, I can't think of it again. How good that I took a picture of it 😆
The chimichanga tasted great and my knowledge about foreign food has positively expanded 😋
The rest of the market was also very nice and beautiful! About 4o stalls were set up with ceramic goods, wooden products, felted things and much more! Well, we actually played the whole day, except when we ate our chimichangas or drank coffee, so there was not much time to look at everything, but I took a few photos anyway, which I will not withhold from you.
In any case, it was a fine market day with a nice mix of Latin music, Spanish guitar music, but also blues and country, we played. The weather was perfect! A really nice fall day! Yes, what can you imagine more beautiful! For us it was a pleasure and I think the many guests who were here also had their pleasure.

Handg'macht Märkte - Kunsthandwerk & Design
Zur Zeit ist soooo viel los, dass ich kaum dazu komme alles in Worte zu fassen. Ein besonders schöner Nachmittag war vor knapp zwei Wochen, denn da spielten wir mit unserem Trio "LiLA y Geckos" beim Kunsthandwerksmarkt in Gamlitz in der Südsteiermark. Der Markt fand beim Motorikpark statt und auch dieser Park wäre schon einen eigenen Beitrag würdig. Heute aber berichte ich mal vom Markt.
Wir waren schon um 10 Uhr dort und bauten unsere Anlage auf, sodass wir gegen 11 Uhr mit der musikalischen Umrahmung beginnen konnten. Schon die Begrüßung war herzlich und der Platz neben dem „mexikanischen Essensstand“ war mehr als perfekt 😁 Warum wohl? Schon zu Beginn wurden wir mit mexikanischem Kaffee gut versorgt, was auch nötig war um diese Uhrzeit 😁 (Man bedenke die Anfahrtszeit von knapp 1 Std und auch das Abbauen & Einladen der ganzen Anlage braucht ebenso ca. 1 Std., am Vorabend hatten wir eine Veranstaltung und obendrein bin ich ein Eulchen 😁).
Nun gut, mexikanischer Kaffee hat uns somit sehr gut getan! Auch das glutenfreie Brot, das sie dort hatten war köstlich! Zu Mittag gab es dann „Chimichanga“. Ohhh, welches Wort, ich hab es mindestens 50 x an diesem Tag gesagt um es mir zu merken, aber heute wo ich diesen Artikel schreibe, fälllt es mir schon wieder nicht ein. Wie gut, dass ich ein Foto davon gemacht habe 😆
Also, auch das Chimichanga schmeckte hervorragend und mein Wissen über fremde Speisen hat sich positiv erweitert 😋
Auch der restliche Markt war super schön und nett! An die 4o Stände waren aufgebaut mit Keramik-Waren, Holz-Produkten, gefilzten Dingen und vielem mehr! Nun gut, wir spielten eigentlich den ganzen Tag, außer als wir unsere Chimichangas aßen oder mal Kaffee tranken, so blieb dann gar nicht viel Zeit alles anzuschauen, aber ein paar Fotos hab ich trotzdem gemacht, die ich euch nicht vorenthalten will.
Auf jeden Fall war es ein feiner Markttag mit einer netten Mischung aus Latin Musik, Spanischer Gitarrenmusik, aber auch Blues und Country, spielten wir. Das Wetter dazu war ebenso perfekt! Ein richtig schöner Herbsttag! Ja, was kann man sich Schöneres vorstellen! Für uns war es eine Freude und ich denk die vielen Gäste, die sich hier tummelten hatten auch ihr Vergnügen.
