Fruits, Veggies and Oh, Bees!

It's Friday, yay! And it's end of the month as well. Quite unbelievable that the first quarter of the year has gone already. The good thing is that we have been well.

We were to go out for groceries but the husband is feeling under the weather so we'll just be home for the day. And speaking of groceries, that reminded me it's #MarketFriday so I'm going to share some of our markets here.

First, our favorite Fruit and Vegetable Store which is about 10-minute drive from here. The husband says it only takes 5 minutes but that's for him and I would argue it should be 10, lol!

There are various fruit stores around town but we love this particular place because it's less crowded, hence no queues and the produce are mostly fresh. We also love the homemade sweet delights that they sell which they claim to be coming from the lowlands.

Also, we can buy groceries from the adjoining store. Although we usually have our pantry supplies from another place.

I was inside the car when these photos were taken. The husband doesn't trust my skill when choosing veggies and or fruits so he always volunteers, lol! And that's him out there, negotiating with the seller for some kilograms of eggplants, lol!

The next being one of La Trinidad's Vegetable Trading Post. There are 3 trading centers there and this I believe is the smallest amongst them.

This is where truckloads of fresh vegetables and root crops from all over the region are brought and sold via wholesale to traders from different parts of the country.

A melting pot of people from different parts of the country, coming together and performing particular roles, making the place bustling and thriving - from laborers, packers, porters, delivery boys, buyers, sellers and what have you. You can imagine millions of pesos are exchanged amongst many hands on a day-to-day basis in this place.

The husband took photos in just one spot though so it doesn't really show how it looks out there. Although I have personally been to two of the larger trading centers, I haven't had the chance to enter this one.

Lastly, a gif made from a video of bees going gaga over a sack of feeds at a store downtown. We pulled over for a little while for the husband to get something from another shop when I noticed the bees buzzing and I couldn't resist taking a video. That particular sack must be smellin' good, huh!

And that's from me today and here's to a fantastic Friday!

Photos are my own and of the husband. 31032023/10:20ph

Smile... laugh often... love more... be happy and grateful always!
