It's raining cats and dogs outside today. While writing about Puy du Fou, I stumbled upon these photos of my trips to Jardiland while briefly living in France. For today's #MarketFriday initiated by @dswigle, let me take you for an invigorating tour inside a garden center.
Jardiland is a well known French specialist in the world of gardening, pets, decorations and art of living. My father-in-law is an avid gardener. I always tag along whenever he goes seed shopping.
Like a kid to a candy store, I took a lot of pictures for work reference. I am always curious to see which ornaments are available for purchase whenever I need to specify planters and pots for projects.
Natural daylight fills the whole garden center. It's well illuminated throughout the day. Their style of merchandising is also effective and clearly well organized.

Delosperma Congestum known as Gold Nugget Ice Plant is a succulent with evergreen leaves and starry white flowers that spreads like a carpet. Sempervivum or Houseleek is also a flowering succulent with rosette shaped flowers that require full sun and good drainage. These would be perfect for well drained green roofs.
Sedum Rupestre Angelina commonly called as Stonecrop is a low growing evergreen succulent that grows rapidly. Sedum Rubrotinctum known as Pork & Beans is a succulent with bright green leaves whose tips turn to bright red under full sun. These would be great as low maintenance plants and could be brought indoors.
I enjoy gardening. My favorite section apart from the flowers is the huge variety of cooking herbs. I still am not successful in raising sage and thyme in the Philippines. I recently tried growing beef heart tomatoes in tropical heat. There are flowers but they haven't produced yet.
