Hello, Hivers! It’s been a while. Have a blissful day! I hope you have 😊
Like the sun that was about to set, another exhausting and productive day has come to a close. It was the first Friday of this school year when I felt relief from longing especially for my son. Why? Because it was the weekend and we were reunited again. Every working mom's happiness and joy.
I knew that working moms have often mixed feelings when it's Friday. On the one hand, they may look forward to the weekend or a break from work and a treasured chance to spend plenty of time with them like me, hehe! On the other hand, they might feel a sense of relief that the workweek was ending especially those moms who sent their child to school. For them, juggling work and family responsibilities can be demanding, which is true. But then, it depends on the individuals and their specific circumstances. As moms, what’s important is to make every moment count and cherish with our special loved ones; not yesterday, not tomorrow but TODAY.
Going back, I was able to save my fares last Friday for jeepneys and a bus because my in-laws picked me up from my boarding house just near the school since they have important errands to catch up on as well. They were not known to me and I treated and loved them as my second parents. While inside the car, we had no other topic but my so lovely and energetic little toddler.
Raising my son is a challenging yet rewarding experience as a working mom. It involves balancing the demands of a career with the responsibilities of parenthood. Agree working mom Hivers? Because of this, we seek support from our families, particularly from my in-laws who were very supportive from the start. Quick share, We already moved and lived in another house which was our home for almost a year, not until we needed to make some sacrifices due to my new job. We lingered back to my in-law's house and my husband took care of our son. Isn't easy right?
However, we are always thankful for the good and bad things that come in our lives because we're growing as a family.
So much for that, Here was the startling news that made my nerves tremble, Andrei woke up and came out of the room and just found out that he was already closer to the first step of the staircase heading down cause our room was in the second floor, in addition, he was also fun of playing before sleeping and sometimes accidentally bumped his head on the wall, my father-in-law said. Hala! ( In English, Oh my gosh!) I just can't imagine how things were done on that day. For that reason, we decided to make some alternatives. For the former, we used a small couch enough for its size to block the staircase.
For the latter, we need to purchase an additional bed that serves as a headboard for his safety.
We agreed to have a quick buy-in at Pacific Mall, Mandaue.
We went to the basement for parking purposes.
It was very spacious there. After, we took the elevator with my father-in-law going to the third floor and my mother-in-law preferred to stay in the car.
And we were here! The stack of beds in different sizes welcomed us warmly. I was mesmerized by all the things I saw. How I wish to have them all. Hahaha! The question was, Where do I put them? Hahaha!
Moreover, my eyes filled with delight looking at the beautiful home furnishings and more.
Everything was just ethereal, especially the wooden cabinets, tables, and kitchenware. They offered discounts on selected items. We got a twenty percent discount on the double-size mattress and ten percent on the rags.
While wandering around, I spotted these tablecloths and table protectors. My table in school needed it. So I bought one piece of 54" x 72" size tablecloth protector instead of a plastic cover.
We purchased one double-size mattress, six rags of different colors, and one table protector. We took the elevator going down to the basement.
We were traversing the North Road Properties again to avoid the traffic. And yes! It was a good decision.
Half past seven and we were at the destination point of the shortcut in Poblacion, Liloan, Cebu.
(PAPA KIT'S Marina and Fishing Lagoon in Liloan, Cebu. It is well-know for offering a variety of recreational activities such as fishing, boating and kayaking)
Our stomachs were growling for hunger, so we stopped at Liloan, Grandmall branch to order food for takeout in Mang Inasal.
We ordered four pecho large with rice and one bangus sisig with rice too.
Mang Inasal is a Filipino fast-food restaurant chain known for its grilled chicken with only rice and traditional dishes. Their chicken is marinated in a special sauce and grilled to perfection paired up with their sour and savory hot soup, that's why many people patronize this fast-food restaurant too.
The restaurant offers a variety of Filipino dishes including pork barbecue with java rice, halo-halo ( a popular Filipino dessert), and various grilled items like pork and bangus (milkfish). Their dishes matched my preference of tastes, especially the mouthwatering sauce with lemonsito (Philippine lime) and chili pepper perfect for dripping the grilled chicken. You really won't regret it when you dine in Mang Inasal too.
Earlier, I noticed that they have add-ons on their dishes being offered which suit family pax.

Finally, home sweet home. My heart jumped with joy upon seeing my little one. It's always hugs and kisses that suffice my longing for him within the five-day time frame. Then, I ate. Another weekend to cherish and enjoy with family again.
