I was very excited on Monday that Alexandre could finally go to school because his fever was gone although his cough and runny nose are still present. My husband decided that we should go back to biking at Callac Lake in the afternoon to get back on track doing some physical movement.
Will write about this step machine later...
Before the biking session in the afternoon, I did some exercise to condition my legs and arms to prepare my body.
My husband our son to school and took him back home in the afternoon. After school, we went off to the lake. On my bike ride, I felt so scared and traumatized from the last two week's fall, which was the start of our flu. I just prayed that nothing bad would happen to us along the road.
We did 51 minutes of going to the lake. I just don't remember how many kilometers we did. We just played in the park, I looked after the kids while they were playing with the other kids. And the other kids were very talkative they just wanted to have a conversation with me. And that the realization I need to learn the French language.
We stayed 30 minutes at the park, Alexandre got jealous when he saw other kids playing around with their bikes so he wanted his bike. Since we didn't bring our car, we didn't bring his bike. He was tired so it was time to go home.
51 minutes to bike (set to indoor cycle), 31 minutes of walking at the park (set to indoor walk), and 42 minutes to bike going home (set to indoor cycle)
We biked for 40 minutes going back home, I washed them while my husband was preparing for dinner. The usual routine of having dinner, and preparing them for bed. Of course, it is a must for us that everybody must be washed before going to bed. So everyone went to bed. I stayed for a few minutes to have some French lessons on my phone and then fell asleep.
My phone was alarmed at 7:35 AM the next day as I needed to prepare Alexandre for school. And I was ready to drive him to school with the bike when suddenly, in my bed, coughing out of breath. I was cold. I could not move. I just wanted to be under the blanket. It was difficult to speak, I lost my energy and my voice. My chest or pulmonary area was in pain. I had a fever. It was my husband who brought our son to school.
I was literally dead. The worst feeling from all the flu I have experienced even back in the Philippines. My husband said he had the same feeling the past few weeks and so were the kids. My reaction was delayed. When it hit me, the problem is nobody takes care of the house. The house is a real mess even today.
I am just very disappointed because I've been consistent in doing the home chores every day. To do some exercise to help me add my strength. And suddenly, I was dead for a day.
I am literally back to zero because I want to do nothing.
After taking a hot shower (yes, hot, not just warm, but hot), drinking a hot tea, and eating pain au chocolat I started to fall asleep in my chair. My head was turning so I fell asleep on the sofa. Elise was with me at home while my husband was busy outside of the house cutting the grass (it was a big tough job for the day). It took an hour to change Elise with her clothes and diaper. I felt so bad she was waiting for me. I was waiting to regain my energy with more sleep.
I have this mentholated ointment given to me by a friend in 2019 and I use the ointment rubbing it on my chest, neck, and head as I fire up with fever and sore muscles. Somehow, it helped to relieve the fever. When it's finished, I promise to buy Vicks Vaporub.
To be honest, I am irritated and I become a bad mom to my kids. I am tired. I want to do nothing.
While my husband was cutting the grass yesterday, our neighbor was out and they had the chance to have a chitchat. She told us she read in the newspaper about the bronchiolitis epidemic.

I lost my creativity right now. A few days ago, I wanted to do some experiments in the kitchen. But now, I am just too tired. What I'm feeling right now made me lose my creativity and excitement.
I am hoping that we can overcome all these health issues. I just want us to be normal again. Sigh!
