Afritunes community week 104! It’s such a good day to present my entry for this week’s event but before i proceed i am wealthwess by name and i’m sending greetings to every man and woman of this great Hive & Afritunes community. This week i’ll be presenting a cover of a song that captured my heart a long time ago by Chike a Nigerian singer featuring Ric Hassani and the title of the song is Nakupenda. However, Nakupenda is a phrase in Swahili, this is a language that is spoken in many East African countries like Uganda, Kenya etc. In english Nakupenda means “I love You” a word most of us understand perfectly or been confessed to before. But one thing is that, i like how Chike made this song so beautiful and most especially by mixing 3 languages together in this song, English, Swahili and Igbo, a perfect combo if you asked me.
