AFRI-TUNES WEEK #43 || IMELA BY NATHANIEL BASSEY FT.ENITAN ADABA (COVER)

Hello Afri-tunes community... firstly, let me use this medium to wish you all a happy new year, it will be a very wonderful year for us all, a year to always remember for good.

It's Afri-tunes week #43, my first post in this lovely community for the year 2023, have seen lovely entries form people already, from those that did the suggested songs and those that selected their song themselves. I'm overwhelmed with all what have been seeing, a job well done to everyone, lets keep making good music.

For this week I'll be presenting a song titled "Imela" by Nathaniel Bassey ft. Enitan Adaba. After seeing lovely entries from my fellow vloggers I was moved to also drop my cover version of the song.

The song is a song of Thanksgiving, ascribing all the glory and honour to God for He alone is worthy to receive them. Personally, God has been so good to me, my family and everyone around me. He has never done anything without leaving a cause to give Him thanks.

I saw the YouTube video and I realized it's 10years ago already but the song is still very fresh like a song that was just released.
I'll be doing an Acapella version of the song, therefore it might not be as incredible as the original but help me manage my little presentation. šŸ˜ƒšŸ˜ƒ peace āœŒļø

song lyrics*
When I think upon Your goodness
And Your faithfulness each day
I'm convinced it's not because I am worthy
To receive the kind of love that You give
But I'm grateful for Your mercy
And I'm grateful for Your grace
And because of how You've poured out your Yourself
I have come to sing this song out in praise

Imela, Imela
Okaka, Onyekeruwa (Great and Might creator of the world)
Imela, Imela (Thank You! Thank You!)
Eze mo (My King)

Onyedikagi (Who is like You?)
Ekene diri gi (All Glory belongs to You)
Onye ne mema (He who does good)
Onyedikagi (Who is like You?)
Ekene diri gi (All Glory belongs to You)
Onye nagworia (Mighty Healer)
