Afritunes, Week 105// A cover of "Imela"

Hello there, it's an honour to be here for afritunes week 105. I have chosen to sing one of the songs of Nathaniel Bassey, which is a mixture of Igbo and English. The title of the song is, "Imela" which means thank you in English.

This song is a song of appreciation and you know that appreciations open room for more good things. People are usually appreciated for helping others, providing services, or being kind, loving, and, selfless. Imela is a song that thanks and appreciates God for his good deeds.

The lyrics of this song says it all. Whenever I think upon the goodness of the Lord and His faithfulness to me each day, it is evident that I am not worthy to receive the kind of love that God showers on me. God does look beyond my sins and guilt to provide and care for me as His own.

With all of the protection, guidance, care, and, love showered on us by God, we should always learn to be grateful and show appreciation too. Therefore, in all you do, give thanks.

*Thank you for reading through and listening ❤️🤍❤️*

When I think upon Your goodness
And Your faithfulness each day
I'm convinced it's not because I am worthy
To receive the kind of love that You give
But I'm grateful for Your mercy
And I'm grateful for Your grace
And because of how You've poured out your Yourself
I have come to sing this song out in praise
