In our quest to promote African Tunes across Hive and to encourage the use of native Hive dApps, Afri-tunes has urged its members to share quality content and engage in related Afri-tunes threads on Leothreads.
Initially, we encouraged our members to share the Hive post link or 3speak link of their weekly entries on Leothreads as well as to engage in the weekly compilation shared on Leothreads by @afri-tunes.
But, this time around, we are GOING ALL OUT!!!
We are glad to inform you of a unique collaboration between Afri-tunes and the @leofinance team.

RE-INTRODUCING LEOTHREADS
In the post we made on January 18, 2023, titled The Beauty of Promoting your Music via Leothreads – For Musicians and Music Lovers, we spoke about Leothreads, its benefits to musicians and music communities, and a detailed guideline on how to jump into the world of threads.
Well... so that we don’t bore you with repetition, lets just make it simple and easy to understand:
Leothreads is Twitter on Hive; in other words, it is a microblogging platform where users can write “whatever they want” on “any niche they like” in 240 characters (short word count). So, don’t be afraid to post about your choir pictures, your music presentation, the music you are listening to, a resounding lyric or hook line from your favorite musician or your most cherished African music. It is 100% allowed!
With leothreads you can build your audience, engage more on Hive and earn $Leo + $Hive + HBD rewards on your threads.
INTRODUCING PROJECTBLANK
What about Projectblank? What is it?
The Leofinance Community has embarked on a mission to reconstruct the leofinance.io official website so that it puts Leothreads at the forefront of the website. This will serve as an easier way to onboard users to Hive via this awesome micro-blogging platform.
At the present moment, the “NEW” leofinance frontend is in its alpha mode, but it is fast, clean, smooth, efficient and sweeeeeeeet, and we are all invited to hop in on leothreads via this amazing frontend. (NB: since it is in its Alpha mode, be aware that some features are yet to be integrated and others will be rolled out from time to time, and you may experience minor glitches).
LOGGING IN ON LEOTHREAD VIA PROJECTBLANK
To access the old UI of Leothreads via Hivesigner you can read the post we made earlier here, but we encourage you to use the Newui as it is really awesome.
WEB (PC) VIEW
To access the new ui via PC, ensure that you have integrated Hive Keychain in your Google Chrome browser. If you haven’t, read this post by @khaleelkazi to guide you.
- Log on to alpha.leofinance.io.
- Click on the icon at the down left part of the screen.
- Type in your Hive username and Log in.
MOBILE VIEW
To access the new ui via mobile, download Hive Keychain from Google Play Store or Apple iOS Store. Read this post by @zekero to guide you on how to import your Hive account to Mobile Hive Keychain.
- Go to the browser
- Log on to alpha.leofinance.io.
- Click on the icon at the down left part of the screen.
- Type in your Hive username and Log in.
AFRI-TUNES ON PROJECT BLANK
Now... this is the part that you’ve all been waiting for, right?
Our collaboration with the Leofinance team has made it possible for Afri-tunes to curate threads thanks to the Leo delegation received from the leofinance team.
We are inviting everyone who love African tunes to storm Leothreads NOW!!!
Are you confused about what to share on threads?
- You can share the link of your Afritunes music on Hive or someone else’s, you can also share African tunes found in other musical communities on Hive, and you can share other writeups that resonates with the theme of African tunes/music.
- You can always share your picture with your musical instrument, your picture posing with your choir members, your picture in the act of performance, or your picture with AFRI-TUNES BRANDED T-SHIRT.
- You can share the music you are listening to at the moment, your favourite Afro-beat musician and why you love him or her, a hook line or lyrics on your head that you can not let go off, your best African musicians... And the list continues.
Don’t be afraid to write numerous threads in a day!
And, YES! You can thread for up to 1 million times a day! If you can do that, then Taskmaster will relinquish his Throne for you (shhhhhh, don’t tell him I said that).
#TAGS WE WATCH OUT FOR
The #afritunes tag is our number 1 tag for posts and threads, and we’d love you to include this in your threads so that we can easily find them.
However, we will also watch out for #afri-tunes #africanmusic #africantunes #afrobeat and #music (in relation to African tunes) tags.
