Pink Kush harvest and seed collection: Trimmed, Dried, Weighed, and Sampled

After a total of fourteen weeks of indoor growth and bloom, the Pink Kush cannabis plant was harvested, trimmed, dried, weighed, and sampled.

Pink Kush harvested

This Pink Kush cannabis plant had six weeks of vegetative growth and eight weeks of bloom time before it was harvested. The indica strain genetics showed with the broad leaves and bushy plant structure, and the evening temperatures for low enough for it's namesake purple and pink tones to appear.

Last week the stalks were harvested and hung upside down to dry. The large fan leaves were trimmed the first day, then the bud leaf tips were trimmed within the first few days of the seven days of drying. The buds are covered with shimmering THC trichomes, they with eventually dry to a crisp amber color, there are ample bright orange pistils too.

More than seventy crossbred seeds collected, I'll be curious to see if the plants from these seeds have the similar big big growth as it's Pink Kush mother plant, it's Apricot Kush father had a decent size of growth too.

Final Trim

After five days the buds were still a little squishy, after six days they still had a slight vegetative scent, after seven days the buds were dried to a crisp and only had that sweet grape scent, they were ready to be trimmed off the stalks.

Trimmed up and ready for weighing, the tray on the scale was zeroed out and loaded with buds.

The first tray of buds weighed 101.05 grams, the second trayed weighed 89.29 grams, for a total of 194.34 grams, or 6.95 ounces. Almost seven ounces, my largest single plant harvest this season, Pink Kush has some bountiful big bud genetics.

The weighed up buds go into the air tight jars for curing and storage. After a week in the jars the bud moisture content will equalize for the smoothest smoke, that's the curing.

There's a sweet, extra grape and slight spice scent to these sticky Pink Kush buds, so grape that it has some cherry tones.

The Flavors

Sweet extra grape and cherry spice flavor to the Pink Kush smoke, slightly mouth tingling, powdered sugar-like sweetness aftertaste, tasty buds.

The Feels

Relaxing buds, heavy eyelids with this laid back indica strain. A calm cheerfulness, smooth muscle relaxation, I'll save these buds for relaxing days or evenings.

A good haul with this Pink Kush grow, I know to reach for these seeds for a big harvest. I'm looking forward to growing it's Pink Kush x Apricot Kush crossbred seeds, they should be good sized cannabis plants with tasty buds too.
