  • There are many advantages when growing marijuana indoors , while it will be a smaller crop in most cases it will make up for that in the harvest.
  • The cannabis plant that is grown indoors in most cases contains more THC, this is because the plant is taken care of better and does not have male plants that will pollinate the female plant.
  • The indoor crop is healthier because it can be controlled from the time it is germinated, the soil can be sterilized and kept disease and bug free, the pH level of the soil can be tested and watched so that is it a perfect soil for the plants to grow.
  • The indoor plant also does not have the weather to control its growth, these plants can be given light from 12 to 24 hours a day and watered properly, they also have no weather events that will harm their stem, leaves or buds.
  • One of the other advantages of the indoor marijuana crop is that the grower does not have to travel to the crop, there is less chance of it being seen and that makes it easier and safer to grow the plants prior to harvesting. This also means the plants care allows them to produce a better crop for when it is time to harvest and in most cases a superior crop to that of the outdoor grown cannabis. The plant has the ability to use its growth for the leaves and buds rather than strengthening the stem, which the outdoor marijuana plant does to protect itself from winds and rain.

Deciding to grow an indoor marijuana crop means several things:

  • it means there will need to be a room in the house that is just for this inside crop.
  • the fact that this plant is illegal to grow and so it must be hidden. That means having visitors to your home can be almost impossible and the windows will need to be covered so that someone passing by will not see the crop is being grown.
  • Another disadvantage is should that person be caught growing cannabis in their house not only can they go to jail but they can lose their home. Growing the crop is time consuming, especially because it is in the house and there is easy access to work on the plants.
  • An outdoor marijuana crop does not have this problem if it is not planted on property owned by the grower. It will just be a crop if found that will be destroyed by authorities.
  • There was also the cost is involved in the indoor garden: lighting will have to stay on extended hours raising electrical.
  • There are also materials that will need to be bought such as soil, fertilizer, pH testing kits and other items were growing the marijuana crop indoors.
  • The price may not be large depending on the size of indoor crop is going to be grown, but there will be a cost for all the equipment and for the seeds unless the grower has seeds they intend to use.
