"Would you play this? Rose Would."
The sound of the leaves shifting inside the breeze became nearly hypnotic. Clara checked out the vintage instrument lying on the desk, blanketed with dirt and memories. The melody she had heard in her mind for weeks appeared to return alive as she gazed at it.
She remembered Rose, her youth pal, along with her infectious snigger and her ardour for tune. She always said that the rosewood had a soul, that every observe played on its surface resonated with the memories of the beyond. Clara questioned if she ought to ever play it the way Rose did.
With a sigh, she approached the device. Her trembling arms rested at the strings, and in that on the spot, she felt a deep connection. With every note that arose, the memory of Rose became extra vibrant, as though he were there, encouraging her to keep going.
“Play it,” the wind whispered, and Clara closed her eyes, letting the song glide thru her.
