Aquí nos vemos de vuelta Hivers, lo prometido es deuda y como les comentaba en el post anterior, continuamos con la fotografía de danza, y en este caso sobre el espectacular baile flamenco, creado a mediados del siglo XIX en Andalucía, a partir del cruce de una gran variedad de culturas, religiones y manifestaciones artísticas de varias ciudades, y que se expresa mediante el cante, el baile, y la guitarra.

Y en esta ocasión les traigo una selección de la más reciente presentación de la Compañía Flamenca Ecos, una de las más representativas de Cuba, que mezcla elementos tradicionales y contemporáneos de ambas culturas, España y Cuba. Y como es evidente, dicha presentación muestra una coreografía tradicional, por esa combinación de blanco con rojo estridente en el vestuario que resalta el estilo, y el conjunto de bailarinas al unísono, junto al ritmo del canto y palmadas en directo de los demás artistas que las acompañan y con los cuales conforman la obra completa.
And on this occasion I bring you a selection of the most recent presentation of the Compañía Flamenca Ecos, one of the most representative of Cuba, which mixes traditional and contemporary elements from both cultures, Spain and Cuba. And as is evident, this presentation shows a traditional choreography, due to that combination of white and garish red in the costumes that highlights the style, and the group of dancers in unison, along with the rhythm of the singing and live clapping of the other artists who accompany them and with which they make up the complete work.

Como fotógrafo, además de interesarme el movimiento combinado con la luz, en lo personal lo que más me ha enamorado de esta compañía es el carácter e intensidad que le ponen en su ejecución, además del evidente talento artístico en general, por la variedad de especialidades que manejan. La expresividad en la proyección escénica es impresionante, además de que el flamenco trae consigo esa actitud, y eso se ve en sus rostros.
Y aunque la mayoría sean mujeres, esta compañía también cuenta con el destacado bailaor Danny Villalonga con un estilo que distingue mucho, pero que se integra al resto cuando bailan todos juntos.
As a photographer, in addition to being interested in movement combined with light, personally what has made me fall in love with this company the most is the character and intensity that they put into their execution, in addition to the evident artistic talent in general, due to the variety of specialties that they handle The expressiveness in the stage projection is impressive, in addition to the fact that flamenco brings with it that attitude, and that can be seen in their faces.
And although the majority are women, this company also has the outstanding bailaor Danny Villalonga with a style that is very distinctive, but that integrates with the rest when they all dance together.

Como siempre, en la fotografía de danza está el compromiso de cuidar el gesto y el movimiento ejecutado, y por eso es esta selección de las muchas más fotos de esa presentación, y aunque fuera una presentación en vivo tiene un diseño visual con los elementos justos de una estética minimal a mi gusto, como el contraste de luz, y figura fondo sin ser recargado, como si fuera una sesión fotográfica preparada como tal.

As always, in dance photography there is a commitment to take care of the gesture and the executed movement, and that is why this selection of the many more photos of that presentation is, and although it was a live presentation, it has a visual design with the right elements of a minimal aesthetic to my liking, such as the contrast of light, and a background figure without being overloaded, as if it were a photographic session prepared as such.
