I hope you're all well.
We can't always photograph what we want, or make that photograph that satisfies us.
Either because of the impossibility of mobilizing and being stuck in the same place for days, or because the light doesn't cooperate, or because of the lack of an interesting subject, or the presence of a noisy background.
Maybe we've tried different framings, angles, lenses.
Nothing seems to jump in front of our gaze.
But the urge to photograph is uncontrollable.
That's where I make use of the technique of moving the camera at low shutter speed.
The movement can be vertical, horizontal, circular, diagonal, zoom can be used, or combine with multiple exposures.
Obviously, we don't have much control over the result, but it is often surprising, obtaining abstract, mysterious, sometimes surreal images.
I know I could hardly create a work of art this way, but some satisfying images, plus the fact that I accomplished my goal: another day of shooting.

Espero que estejam todos bem.
Nem sempre podemos fotografar o que queremos, ou fazer aquela fotografia que nos satisfaz.
Seja pela impossibilidade de se mobilizar e ficar preso no mesmo local por dias, seja porque a luz não colabora, seja pela falta de um sujeito interessante, ou pela presença de um background ruidoso.
Seja que já tentamos diferentes enquadramentos, ângulos, lentes.
Nada parece pular na frente de nosso olhar.
Mas a vontade de fotografar é incontrolável.
É aí que que faço uso da técnica de mover a câmera em baixa velocidade de disparo.
O movimento pode ser vertical, horizontal, circular, diagonal, pode ser usado o zoom, ou combinar com múltiplas exposições.
Obviamente, não temos muito controle sobre o resultado, mas muitas vezes resulta surpreendente, obtendo imagens abstratas, misteriosas, às vezes surreais.
Sei que dificilmente poderia criar uma obra de arte desta maneira, mas sim algumas imagens satisfatórias, além do fato de ter cumprido meu objetivo: mais um dia fotografando.
