Good morning, friends!
Here's a new entry for the 100th Edition of PhotoChain Challenge, hosted by @davidesimoncini. The keywords for this week are Licence Plate and Red, picked by the previous winners of the challenge: @hindavi and @gems.and.cookies.
(My personal keyword is... Car.)
I saw this beautiful old classic park near a restaurant where the owner went to grab a take away lunch. I couldn't let that opportunity slide so I quickly took out my camera and grabbed a few shots. After all, it's not every day you see such a gorgeous piece of history... and in such a fabulous and pristine condition. From anywhere you looked, it was shinning. 😎
As if the car wasn't cool enough already... this was a convertible model!!!
This is an old Ford Taunus GXL Coupé. (Yes, Taunus... not Taurus, which is probably a better known model.)
The GXL model was the top of the line. It came with all the comforts from the Luxury edition (XL) as well as with the under the hood efficiency and power from the Sports edition (GT).
The owner of this car really knows his stuff. He got the very best possible model, one that was only built until 1975. Afterwards, the Coupé version disappeared from the list of options.
That means this car is around 50 years old. And it still looks great!!! 🤗
Here's the back end of the car. Ford did a really great job on this one. What a beauty!!! Great lines all around! 😊
I hope you enjoyed these photos. 😎
