Quick Winter Adventure

When I woke up this morning and looked out the window, I saw a decent amount of snow coming down. I got excited because it looked like the most snow that we have gotten this winter. Typically in January we have had at least a few snow storms and temperatures of -10 to -20 degrees Celsius. This year it has been a couple of small flurries of snow and temperatures around 0 to -5 degrees.

I rushed out to the closest trail and waterfall to me, Felkers falls.

The trail had a nice coating of snow and only animals had disturbed it so far. That quickly changed when the snow that was coming down, turned into rain that was leaving holes in the snow. This is why I had to rush out! The weather forecast is rain and high enough temperatures, that the snow will be melted within hours.

I am really hoping that we get to see these waterfalls frozen this year, but until that happens, we still get to see some winter beauty, even if just briefly!
