Mattapoisette Rail trail
Good morning for today I am going to share a few shots of a walk I took on the Mattapoisette rail trail a few months back
Its a long trail I think I read 4.5 miles and joins up with the Phoenix bike trail in Fairhaven, I am not sure if thats included in the 4.5 Miles or in addition
I only walked a portion of the trail maybe 2 Miles, I was tempted to walk the whole trail, but then it came to me that would be 4.5 miles out and then have to walk it back and that would take me longer than I planned to be out
Its a lovely walk, great for both walking and cycling and I will get back to walk more of it some day
as this first shot shows i got there pretty early even with a one minute exposure its still pretty dark, and I light painted the fence in this shot

Part way along the walk one crosses a road and then comes to this part of the trail at first I was wonderign why such a fence just here then i noticed across the road onthe other sid eof hte road is a golf course, and then it made sense.
Back when I was a tennager I worke din a Market Gardens and they had potatoe and pumpkin fields across the road from a golf course, when we were harvesting both of them we would often find many golf balls and its funny, I joked one day that we find so many of them but I had never seen one land inthe field, no more than ten minutes later an off target golf ball hit me right in the middle of my back, boy did it sting and hence i see the need for that fence and also should perhaps have learnt to not tempt fate LOL
