White Tail Twins Visit the Yard - by Sunscape

Twin fawns have been coming all summer to the yard to nibble on some of the vegetables in the garden. They especially love to eat the hostas and blackberry bushes.

The mother is foraging on the wild vines and shrubs along the back of the property while watching me closely.

I guess the lower branches weren't to her liking, ;-)

Meanwhile, the twins decide to rest on the lawn while mom snacks.

It is always nice to see them out in the open unafraid. They are however very attentive to the surrounding sounds.

The fawns are larger now and losing most of their spots. I have noticed that they are much more cautious than when they were at this age.

They seem to have found something good to eat. I know that my next-door neighbor puts fruit and vegetables out for them.

Look who else was hiding in the woods unbeknown to me.

The young buck was born last year and joins her and the twins from time to time. Do you see the rabbit? I have had their attention since I started walking closer to them to get a few good shots.

I bet they will come often to eat once the snow starts falling. I will be able to see them moving through the woods after the leaves are down. Fall has officially arrived and the twins are growing up so fast. Hopefully, I can get another opportunity to capture more photos of them to share.
