Reflecting on Lakeside Memories: A Photo Journey

In the past, I frequented this lake with my dog, much like I did on the day captured in this photo. From fall to spring, my routine involved strolling around the lake once and allowing my dog to take a refreshing swim. This ritual persisted each time I visited the lake. The leisurely walk around the lake, which typically lasted about an hour, followed the shoreline, leading me past a summer-only beer garden. This particular spot held nostalgic significance for me, as I first encountered the lake during my childhood rides from Bietigheim to the Murrhardt waterfalls. Back then, cycling past the lake always filled me with joy.

However, it has been many years since I last visited this lake. There's a part of me that misses it, but at the same time, I hesitate to revisit and reopen the floodgate of memories. The photo was captured near the closed beer garden, which, unfortunately, was not open at the time.
