Windham County Court House. Newfane, Vermont.
We took a road trip and happened to pass through Newfane, Vermont. There are several historical New England buildings on the town common.
These two photos are churches built in the 1830's. The Union Hall was built by the collective efforts of three different congregations. The second church with the taller spire is the Congregational Church.
We did feel welcome in this small town.
We bought a huge cinnamon bun in the cute general store.
The sheriffs department fits the general aesthetic of the town but is a much more humble building. It is probably necessarily close to the court house since it seems to include a jail.
