Sundarban: the biggest mangrove forest in the world.

Do you have any idea about the greatest mangrove forest of the world? Do you know which is the greatest mangrove forest? If you don't know this post is only for you. In this post I inform about it shortly.

Sundarban is the greatest mangrove forest in the world. And this forest is situated in Bangladesh. It is mainly situated in Khulna division. But some extended part of this forest is also in Barishal division in Bangladesh and West Bengal province of India. Years before, It has a large area, but day by day the area is decreasing. There are many reason of decreasing the are, but the main culprits are some bad people who cut off trees form the forest and sell it to others for various use. At present it has total are of 6k+ square kilometers.

Anyway, sundarban has a great diversity of flora and fauna. There are various type of trees like sundori, geoua, goran, keora and so on. There are various type of beasts also like tiger, beer, deer, elephant, giraffe, zebra etc. It is the place for inhabitant for various type of birds also.

Many river is in the forest and they have spread just like a net. Amon them Rupsa is one of the biggest. These rivers help to survive the flora and fauna in this forest.

Sundarban has not only environmental impotrtance but also financial. Most volume of honey needed in Bangladesh is fulfilled from this forest. Honey collectors collect honey from this forest and sell it to others. By this, the collectors earn their livelihood.

Moreover, bangladesh is often affected by natural disasters. And sundarban also helps us to survive against thie disasters up to a noticeable mark. When air flows with high speed, this forest decreases the speed.

Basically the importance of this forest is beyond description. It is a blessings from Allah to us.

I never visit to this forest. So have no images of the forest. That is why I use google photos.
